Jennifer Saunders' comic creations have brought joy to millions. From Comic Strip to Comic Relief, from Bolly-swilling Edina in Ab Fab to her takes on Madonna or Mamma Mia, her characters are household names. But it's Jennifer herself who has a place in all our hearts. This is her funny, moving, and frankly bonkers memoir, filled with laughter, friends, and occasional heartache - but never misery.
Bonkers is full of riotous adventures: accidentally enrolling on a teacher training course with a young Dawn French, bluffing her way to each BBC series, shooting Lulu, trading wild faxes with Joanna Lumley, touring India with Ruby Wax and Goldie Hawn. There's cancer, too, when she becomes 'Brave Jen'. But her biggest battle is with the bane of her life: the Laws of Procrastination. As she admits, "There has never been a Plan. Everything has been fairly random, happened by accident or just fallen into place. I'm off now, to do some sweeping..." Prepare to chuckle, whoop, and go bonkers.

A slightly bonkers autobiography of a very interesting life by a down to earth and lovely sounding lady. Worth a read x
"Reallllly Bonkers !!!!"
What an enjoyable listen ! Just like sitting having a natter with a friend I had been taken in by the sulky, morose, petulant Jennifer (good acting eh?? ) this book is so positive and uplifting Thank you J.S.
"Great time spent with Ms.Saunders"
She doesn't take herself too seriously - nice lilting way of getting through the key beats of her life. Recommend it.
Now to listen to the book of her partner in crime - Dawn French
A comedy hero! What an absolute legend! Very funny and brilliantly told! a great insight into a lovely human being. A highly enjoyable listen. Thank you
"Laugh out loud listening!"
I really enjoyed this audiobook.
Obvs, the performance was perfect!
Lots of funny and insightful parts. Like a friend telling you a story.
"Boring ! ! !"
If she had not bothered to write this book, and stayed with what she does best, comedy acing..
I was looking forward to this book, but sadly the whole thing was just too boring. Sorry Jennifer.
Nobody could have made this better.
I would refuse to publish it !.
Sorry Jennifer, I really like you doing what you do best Please if you ever want to write another auto biography, get a good ghost writer to help you with it.
I have watched Jennifer Saunders since my teens and loved that I could listen to her narrated the audio book. There was so much expression, warmth and humour that I laughed regularly and smile lots in between.
You do get an idea of how private she is as things personal to her life and family are glossed over, but why not? You write the book you want to and I respect her right to leave what she wants unsaid.
Buy this book - it will make you laugh.
I hope she writes more, I'd be sad if this is a one-off.
Oh how I loved this book. Full of laughs and lots of stuff from the old days. Good pace of reading.
I loved the whole book. Incredibly funny and Jennifer Saunders reading it herself really gives it the edge. Will listen to it again soon.
This was the first autobiography I read (or listened to) and I loved it the first time, but after coming back to it after listening to loads more I realise just how good it is. Real heart, funny, jut the right length and so well read.
