I just like to read good books that help with personal growth. hmu on FB: Trae Dungy
This was an excellent historical journey about a business giant.
A.G. Gaston was deemed the business man of the century by Black Enterprise. He lived his life not only building business, but in service to others. He practiced business in unconventional ways. Some very trendsetting. How he chose to set up some of his senior employees when he retired and sold the company worth many millions back to them was groundbreaking and inspiring. Standing Ovation.
A life well lived a story well written and a book well spoken. Thank you for such an awesome audiobook experience this has changed my life as a black man but more importantly as a business man. Wow!
This book was very inspiring and informative. I enjoyed learning about how a Black Millionaire came up during segregation.
Excellent book. It offers a peek into the past of post slavery America not often discussed truthfully in history books. Yet we get to see the perseverance of AG Gaston in such an inspiring way.
I chose this book for inspiration. It lifted me from a challenging place. I wish Spike Lee would make a movie about this guy. Mr A G Gaston is definitely a hero of mine. I'm referring it to all my friends and associates. Thank you for converting this to an audio format.
What are amazing wonderful inspiring powerful life. Now I must visit Birmingham and all the buildings with the name AG Gaston
A very interesting biography. An added value to me was the interwoven history of Alabama through the eyes of an African American. As they say - you don't know what you don't know. I recommend this book to anyone interested in gaining a better understanding of "making it" in America.
This book is a most read for anybody in business. Its should become a required reading in all college level business classes. I learned so much from Mr. Gaston's story. Sadly, he is never portrayed as a central figure during the Civil Rights and that is a major mistake.
