When anyone can start a business (when everyone is running their career like a business), it begs a question. This is your one chance at life, you can have anything you want, what is worth doing?
Most people don't know why they're doing what they're doing. They imitate others, go with the flow, and follow paths without making their own.
They spend decades in pursuit of something that someone convinced them they should want, without realizing that it won't make them happy.
Anything You Want is a manifesto about living life, appreciating enough, and doing what matters. It's most of what fabled entrepreneur Derek Sivers learned in ten years of starting and growing a small business, compacted into something you can listen to in an hour and a half. A life worth living starts with knowing your personal philosophy of what makes you happy and what's worth doing.

Short book. Okay values Derek has. Ones that I can agree with. He has heart and integrity in what he does.
Nothing earth-shattering. More about him than about your business – if you catch my drift.
Yes. The story and perspective of the author is compelling and remarkable.
Derek has a unique and compelling take on what it means to run your own business. He's not obsessed with just making a buck, but rather making his customers - and ultimately himself - happy.
The most inspirational business book I had a chance to read. Derek's passion and honesty adds to the book (I had a privilege to listen to narration - audiobook).
I so enjoyed this book, I listened to it 3 times. It is a very human, down to earth, golden-rule type approach to business and life. Derek shows you can put heart and fun into business.
Great business ethics. This book really spoke to me, I loved the emphasis on connecting with your purpouse in starting your business.
Mr Twenty Twenty
I would definitely listen multiple times. Derek's presentation and information is simple, straightforward, and full of real life soul. Lovely to listen to and easy to impliment.
What was most memorable was the theme - more than any specific moment. Derek's focus on pleasing the client / customer - and his simple honest sharing of his experience of doing just that is priceless.
I've only come across Derek on video before. This audible release is great.
The Spirit of Success.
This was a great audible experience. Looking foward to more.
This is one of the best narrations by an author I've heard. While I read Kindle version of the book when it came out, the audio version was a worthy addition thanks to Derek's great delivery and style. This is a great listen for little bursts of inspiration and wisdom.
Say something about yourself!
This is the best guide to being an entrepreneur that I've ever read. Loaded with great tales of mistakes made and always in the context of the over-riding vision of serving the customer.... and remembering that you are doing whatever in order to be happy. Great, short book.
Unique, reflective, inspiring
The goal of any activity is to create happiness; a business doesn't have to be huge to be successful, if it is fulfilling.
Easily finished this book in one sitting, without feeling like it came up short.
This book is packed with very useful lessons and anecdotes. This is a particularly fantastic read for anyone thinking about starting a business. Derek has a very unique perspective on business -- fulfillment vs profit -- which is refreshing and inspiring.
