In this revised edition of An Evening with Johnners, which contains previously unreleased material, the sheer warmth of Brian's personality comes across to the listener, and it is virtually impossible not to feel at one with the members of the highly appreciative theatre audience.

What a lovely gentle anecdotal talk by Brian Johnston, better known to cricket lovers as Johnners) the only thing better would be to have a seat in the on that night. This book could also be called cricket and life according to Johnners. I'm looking forward to more of the same.
"Wonderful amusing stories"
This was an absolute treat to hear a superb raconteur at the height of his skills holding a room spellbound with his stories, tales of a life well lived, full of humour, and richly recounted.
The sheer breadth of his experiences and tales were amazing, being younger I knew him mostly for his work on Test March Special, but the other tales he told were so funny and so well told. This recording will get plenty of plays with me whenever I want to smile.
Botham failing to get his leg over the wicket and the immortal "Stop it Aggers!" he manages to choke out before succumbing to the giggles again. Wonderful stuff!
