Never will get old.

Wonderful storyteller! James Herriot weaves stories that leaves one feeling so good. Christopher Timothy was an excellent choice to narrate this endearing book.

Would you consider the audio edition of All Things Bright and Beautiful to be better than the print version?

I loved the TV show and the books. They are one of my most favourite series in TV and books.

I love the audiobooks because it brings back memories of the era and the people. Christopher brings the characters back to life and all the images flood back.

I have come to love audiobooks as much as I do books. It is to hard to choose for me. I love both.

No this is the first time for audiobooks.

If you love animals and people you will enjoy this book. There is humour sorrow and history all rolled up in to one.

Jame Herriot is not only a great vet he is also a great writer who can make you laugh and cry.

Every story just grabbed you!

James Herriot is a great story teller. I love his style of telling all about each individual in a single chapter. Therefore each chapter becomes a complete story all in its own. It's so easy to pick it up and have the satisfaction of an excellent read in 15 minutes or so. I highly recommend!

You just cant lose when you have a James Herriot book close by. Always humorous, always fun, always interesting, always a fascinating life!

Awwwh!!

Who doesn't like a story about a good man helping to heal helpless animals in a town full of interesting people?! Wonderful story for adults, teens and children.

love these true stories

Previously read (& loved), some previously watched on the BBC series (& loved); handed down from my grandparents, the audio books are touching.

Other reviews note disruptive background noise. Through most of this version it seems to have been minimized. The audio quality is not the same as typical audible books, but, if offered at a low price, I will certainly purchase them all eventually anyway.

The "chapters" marked in this version are completely incongruent with the actually book chapters. But the authentic narration and the peaceful beauty of the writing and stories themselves transcend this. The narrator is amazing. It is only the quality of the recording and the impossiblity of selecting chapters that leads to a less than 5 star review and an unwilling to spend a full credit on others in the series.

I will certainly re-listen many times.

engaging, yet relaxing

James Harriot knows how to tell a story! He takes the everyday life of Yorkshire in the 1930-40s and tells it in a way that is quite engaging. Excellent narration.

A little taste of the old Yorkshire.

Lovely rendition of the Yorkshire accents and heartfelt. reading. Funny at times but sad at other times.

Classic stories by gifted writer

I knew his work before listening to this but never realized how well written the stories were. Wonderful fun and so very real a picture of a country vet.
