Dan Brodsky-Chenfeld survived a plane crash that killed twenty-two people and left him with several life-threatening injuries, moving on to become one of the world's greatest competitive skydivers. Listeners will be enthralled by Brodsky-Chenfeld's story of perseverance and exhilarating descriptions of skydiving, ably performed with a cool nonchalance by Nicholas Tecosky, which provides a nice contrast that allows Above All Else to build its suspense naturally. Brodsky-Chenfeld also shows how to apply the lessons he's learned to everyday life, making Above All Else an inspiring and well-rounded listen.
World-famous competitive skydiver and coach Dan Brodsky-Chenfeld presents proven tools and techniques for success and explains how they can be used in everyday life. I really enjoyed every word! What a strong story of commitment and unwavering belief in the human spirit. Aspiring for that extra kick in the rear to take action? Look no further!:)
For those who don't know who Dan is.. he is one of the only 5 survivors from plane crash that killed 17 of 22 skydivers aboard. Body broken, was in a coma for six weeks and in hospitals for many months more. No one but him EVER considered that he may one day jump again. Jump again? he became a world-class skydiving champion!! :)
At first, I expected an exciting story about Dan, about skydiving and competing, and maybe some advises on 4-way skydiving competition... BUT No! That wasn't just it!!
No one alive could read this book and come to the finish as the same person. It is a book about determination, courage, and intensity that all will appreciate and benefit from. The second part of the book is a brief that can apply in life or in business or any profession. Dan packages the lessons learned in his life into ideas and rules that can work for anyone who cares to go beyond normality.
"Above All Else" is a must read; not just once, but over and over. I highly recommend it. Thank you Dan for sharing your story with the world!
