Publisher's summary

Lauren Weedman's hilarious essays are like a compendium of what not to do as a fully-realized, functional adult. Her self-deprecating, confessional, and terribly funny voice finds a special place in the hearts of those who can relate to her--which, for better or worse, includes all of us.

From the uproarious account of her time at the Daily Show, where she developed an entirely one-sided infatuation with Jon Stewart, to the time she read her boyfriend's diary with disastrous results, Lauren's work is filled with the wit, honesty, and personality that make for great personal writing.

Funny, funny, funny!

Lauren Weedman is hilarious! She writes with side-splitting accuracy about life and work and love and everything, and she narrates the book herself with the zing that only a professional actor, which she is, can give. Why is her name still such a secret? She is an incredibly talented writer and performer, and I'm certain we're going to see more comedy from her. Don't let the fact that you haven't heard of her stop you from getting and savoring this funny, funny book. And I found her website where you can see clips of her doing other pieces. The one where she portrays a woman trying to videotape herself doing a little striptease dance as a birthday present for her boyfriend is killer.

First literal "Laugh Out Loud" title from Audible

Listen to the sample and if you aren't hooked then get to a doctor immediately. You may have experienced traumatic brain injury impairing your sense of humor. Seriously though, I content Lauren Weedman is even funnier than David Sedaris and David Rakoff, two other writers you simply must sample, and both of whom are available here as well.

David Sedaris trapped in a woman's body

Bottom line. Lauren Weedman is a comedic genius. If you like the writing and style of Sedaris...then click now. You will not be disappointed.

Blisteringly funny

A sharp, twisted, dazzling, sick, not for the shy or the emotionally squeamish, VERY funny book that I didn't want to end, perfectly narrated by the author. Please, Lauren, write more books.
