Yes, all through out the book. Starting with her holding her mother and singing Aretha Franklin's Chain of Fools.

I laughed, I cried, I jeered, I found myself on pins and needles and I cheered. I am in awe of Cupcake Brown's life. I think there should be a movie in the works.

An amazingly inspirational woman

It can get a little repetitive but this woman's story is incredible. A story I can listen to again and again

Life changing

Reading/listening to this book got me sober and kept me that way. This book truly changed my life. Well worth the read even if you’ve never struggled with addiction

So great I had to buy it twice!!!

I have this book as a paperback but I wanted to listen to this while at work. I've read this book for than twice. No child deserves to go through what she went through. I usually prefer memoirs written or about men (I'm a dude). But this is easily in my top 5 favorites. It's extremely long but it's so interesting I don't mind how long it takes to go through. The author is very good at grabbing your attention and keeping it. I'm so happy that she was able to get the help she needed. And now she's helping countless amounts of people (including myself) by sharing her story. She is proof that God is real. And don't worry she doesn't get preachy. Best book for those who are ready to change their lives for the better. God bless you Cupcake Brown.

Rock Bottom

Loved listening to this amazing story. You never know what a person goes through. Sometimes in life it takes for a person to hit rock bottom before they realize their worth. I was truly heartbroken then happy. Great memoir.

Couldn’t put it down!!

This is an amazing book that I couldn’t put away. I hadn’t been this emotionally invested in a book since “ The Help”. I laughed, cried, cried and laughed. What an awesome performance by the narrator who brought this book to life for me. I would definitely recommend this book. Don’t shy away from this book because of the 21+ hour length. It’s worth it!!

Amazing

this book was given to me as a young adult and i have never forgotten it. i purchased it on audiobook just to listen to it again. Cupcake Brown is phenomenal. it's been more than 10 years since I've read it and in so excited to see Audible has it definitely worth the credit

This is my third time

This is my third time reading/listening to this book. And it’s still my favorite. the narrator does an amazing job. And I loved this book more listening to it. The books ending is amazing and after hearing everything Cupcake has been through it’s even more amazing. Highly recommend!
