Ian Wright, Arsenal legend, England striker and TV pundit extraordinaire, is one of the most interesting and relevant figures in modern football. His journey from a South London council estate to national treasure is everybody's dream.
From Sunday morning football directly to Crystal Palace; from 'boring, boring Arsenal' to inside the Wenger Revolution; from Saturday afternoons on the pitch to Saturday evenings on primetime television; from a week in prison to inspiring youth offenders, Ian will reveal all about his extraordinary life and career.
Ian will also frankly discuss how retirement affects footballers, why George Graham deserves a statue, social media, why music matters, breaking Arsenal's goal-scoring record, racism, the unadulterated joy of playing alongside Dennis Bergkamp and, of course, what he thinks about Tottenham.
Not a standard footballer's autobiography, Ian Wright's memoir is a thoughtful and gripping insight into a Highbury hero and one of the greatest sports stars of recent years.

Read a lot of bios recently but this one really goes behind the scenes from a young lost boy to an Arsenal hero.
Also great insight to methods and philosophy behind Arsene wenger!
Didn't want this book to end!
"Wrighty - an incredible guy"
An excellent resume of Ian's life read by someone who sounded just like Wrighty, which made it more enjoyable and real. I loved his enthusiasm and the way he portrayed his life - warts and all. He gained more respect including the negative side rather than merely promoting the positives. A great man and a fabulous read.
I grew up in the same patch as Wrighty so this book was of interesting especially as an arsenal fan aswell. Wright was our local hero. This is very well organised, heart felt, honest and informative. A must listen /read for anyone. Especially for insights into the football world.
Finished in no time, enjoyable honest account delivered in a direct way that you would expect from Ian Wright!
"An insight into the real Ian Wrightl"
A book that allows access into the mind, heart and soul of Ian Wright.
Ian's honesty about football and the way he used determination to overcome some difficult situations in life is inspiring and motivating.
A great read about a great footballer and man of integrity.
excellent, Ian Wright is amazing. so lovely to hear the difficulties dispite the fame & fortune. must read for any football fan
"A Wright good listen!"
Really interesting and easy listen. I always liked Ian Wright even though I'm a Leeds fan! After listening to his story I like him even more. Lots of great stories and interesting incites about other players and managers. The Harry Redknapp part left me with a slightly different take on him. If you enjoy football autobiographies this is well worth a listen and jumps straight into Ian's Arsenal days to get you gripped straight away.
"Warm, Witty, Wonderful"
As an Arsenal fan, Ian Wright was an idol of mine on the pitch, and loved Friday Nights All Wright too. As a coach of mini soccer, he remains and idol and even more so after this book. it's a shame Ian doesn't read it himself, but after listening to it, I think I understand why. Some parts are just too emotional for him, too raw. saying that, Paul Mendez does an excellent job.
Ian doesn't hold back either, and lifts the lid on each of the managers he's played under, the PFA, the Kick It Out Campaign, David Rocastle and so much more.
I have thoroughly loved every minute of this book and highly recommend it to football fans if any club.
"A must read for any Gooner!"
Really enjoyed listening to Ian Wright's journey. An absolute hero and one of the greatest players ever to play in the Arsenal journey. Fans from other clubs would also find it a great read and it can inspire those kids who might think that they have missed out that it is never too late to make it to the top
brilliant book. I would recommend people to listen to it. Ian wright the arsenal legend
"Worth a listen if you're a Gooner"
