Publisher's Summary

In this book, Corey Taylor undertakes something never before attempted in the history of rock superstardom: he takes you with him as he journeys undercover through various ghostbusting groups who do their best to gather information and evidence about the existence of spirits. Some are more credible than others, and, frankly, some are completely insane, but all are observed with appropriate seriousness as Taylor attempts to better understand some of the spooky things that have happened to him in his life, especially that night at the Cold House.

But that's not all, folks. Taylor once again gives you a behind-the-scenes tour of his crazy life and the many beyond-the-grave events he's encountered. (You'll be shocked how often Slipknot has been invaded by the supernatural). Taylor also touches on his religious background and how it led him to believe in much more than the Man in the Sky.

"I love Corey Taylor...witty, intelligent, brash."

Corey is not afraid to speak his mind but unlike many of his contemporaries he actually backs up his beliefs with sound logic, data and research to make his point. His style and delivery are spot on and entertaining making the reader wanting to know more about the twisted and brilliant mind of the masked lead screamer from Slipknot. Who knew the boy had the ability to string together a series of grammatically correct sentences let alone keep your interest captivated for hours on end? Well done Mr. Taylor, well done!

Thank you for correlating specifics that I previously didn't consider to be completely related into context together. Removed is my proverbial mask. Thank you!

"Not offended easy?, this book is for you."
Where does A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Heaven rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I would totally give it a 5/5, good detail, and great story.

What was the most compelling aspect of this narrative?

I got to say when he can be serious for one minute then be completely hilarious the next.

Which character – as performed by Corey Taylor – was your favorite?

I gotta say his neighbor that is a fan of his apparently stealing his rake just so he can get Corey's autograph, I died.

If you could give A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Heaven a new subtitle, what would it be?

Warning, if you are offended easy, this is not for you, period.

    Any additional comments?

I got to say that Corey Taylor's work has always been great, all though Seven Deadly Sins is still my favorite book by his, this is still a good read.

    "Very thought-provoking"

I came in with little knowledge to what corey taylor was up to, but as he expanded his ideas I came to understand him. He is a brilliant narrator, mostly from the fact I am a fan of his music and he just has a nice funny but dark tone. I reccomed this book to anyone looking for a different experience and who is fasinated by the supernatural. Good job corey!

    "Corey Taylor is a Genius"
    Any additional comments?

Admittedly, I am a huge Corey Taylor fan, so this review may be a bit biased. I love Corey's writing style. It's brutally honest, funny, insightful, and doesn't give a shit what you think about it. He doesn't pull punches or shy away from the offensive, but comes at the reader with both barrels blasting, leaving the reader to either absorb the message or get the hell out of the way. Overall, an amazing story, read by the author in a voice that is all his own.

Would you try another book from Corey Taylor and/or Corey Taylor?

    Abouslty not

Would you ever listen to anything by Corey Taylor again?

I listen to a few slipknot songs and will still continue to do so.

What didn’t you like about Corey Taylor’s performance?

    His performance wasn't bad.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

    disappointment

    Any additional comments?

He was very condescending towards the reader. At first I found it kind of funny but then it got old fast real old. 3/4 of the book seemed like fluff. We get it. You like to smoke cigarettes, hate religion, and your crazy cool punk rock dude that drinks a lot of coffee.

"Another outstanding piece by Mr. Taylor"

The story telling and emotion Corey put in is nothing more than outstanding just as his first book. I can not wait to hear his next piece in his arsenal.

"Best book I've read in a long while"

My personal favorite that Corey Taylor has published. His voice is so soothing, too. I recommend this to anyone in the mood for some ghost stories and and analysis on religion.
