A Second Chance at Love for Harriet and Tim

Rhoda Baxter’s ‘Belonging’ is a well-written, emotion-filled family story. Set in small-town Yorkshire, the main characters are dealing with the devastating impact of grief and learning how to live without a loved one. Along the way, two people find love for the second time. Baxter delivers characters that are likeable, a realistic plot and an idyllic setting perfect for a sweet love story.

Narration, performed by Diana Croft, is wonderful. Her voice-acting adds to the emotional qualities of Baxter’s story. I particularly like her interpretation of teenager Niamh.

If my memory is correct, I downloaded this audiobook from a website offering free ARCs. Regardless of how I acquired it, this is an honest and voluntary review of it.

Recommended.

A sweet romance

This was a sweet romance between two mature, flawed characters. I liked that they were well developed, humanly flawed, and relatable. their romance blossomed slowly and both characters matured and changed both in their relationships with each other and relationships with others in their lives.
