What a Cliffhanger!!!

If you have not read Fate of Dragons, please do so before starting book 2. You will need to understand where everyone is coming from. This series has a unique world and some very interesting characters. There are multiple POV being rotated from: the Earth queen, sea queen, Consort/General, etc... I’m curious at the amount of time spent with each character. I feel like there are several side stories going on that will need to be tied up before the series wraps up. It is always interesting to see why the opposing characters are the way they are but at times I found myself drifting off... Narration is well done and brings the story to life. I absolutely love her familiar! That is one of my favorite parts in the book. It was exciting and new and the connection between them so sweet. I’m so looking forward to learning more about their connection! The Cliffhanger at the end took me totally by surprise and I need the next book ASAP!!!

Oh my goodness!

I loved the world building in Fate of Dragons, but I really loved getting to know the characters better in this book! They're all such fantastic characters! And her familiar is amazing! I can't wait to start the next book!

This is the second book of the Dragons Rising Series. I really enjoyed this book. This book definitely leaves you wanting more. So many questions at the end. The main question is "Who is going to win?". Can't wait to see what happens in the next book.

Band of Breakers is the second book in Alishia Klapheke's Dragons Rising series. go back and read the first book, Fate of Dragons, or be very confused.

Band of Breakers absolutely suffers from middle book syndrome. Meaning that it doesn't stand on it's own. You must have book one to explain things and you must have the next book to continue the story. Major cliff hanger warning.

so for those who are reading the series in order, good job. This installment has the same great character interaction, and adventure, as the first book. More clues are uncovered and a new adorable character is introduced.

Caitlin Davies reads once again, and brings the story to life with her vocal talents.

I really loved getting to know the characters better in this book! All of these characters are just fantastic! Her familiar is incredible and I can't wait to start the next book!

Interesting book, good story line and intriguing concept, wish there was a little more story and character development. But overall a good listen!

Never before have I been so enthralled in the second story of a series; no literal jumble of words to make it "artistic", just a beautiful tale brought to full blooming life by the most talented narrator I've had the pleasure to listen to. Caitlin Davies is bar non the most wonderfully talented narrator of our time!
