This book ranks in the upper 90% of all audiobooks I've listened to. It was informative and encouraging.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Golf: Golf Strategies?

I particularly enjoyed the golf strategies section of the book. You can have all the technical ability in the world, but if you do not go into a game with a strategy, you are at a great disadvantage.

What does Joshua Mackey bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Mackey brings enthusiasm to the book. How to books are generally dry, but Mr. Mackey has a way of inflecting his voice to keep you interested. I might have missed some of the suggestions if I were just reading it. His voice kept me interested and listening.

What insight do you think you’ll apply from Golf: Golf Strategies?

I will definately remember all the golfing tips that will make the game more fun to play. I also enjoyed learning about the different equipment available and what would be the best for me.

Any additional comments?

The book is very clear with its tips and exercises to make your game better. The history of golf imparted in the book was very entertaining and interesting. I also think the part of the book that explains how to be mentally prepared for the game has many great suggestions for any player from the novice to the expert.

Yes, I think I would listen to "Golf Strategies" again. There is such good advice in the book, and with all of the information, I may have missed something. Why not learn all that you can to improve your game, or to simply learn how to play the game.

What other book might you compare Golf: Golf Strategies to and why?

I would compare "Golf: Golf Strategies" to another book written by Ace McCloud "Baseball: Baseball Strategies: The Top 100 Best Ways to Improve Your Baseball Game." The reason I chose this book is not only because it's about learning a sport, but about the strategies behind it. Just like with "Golf, Baseball" is all about the swing. "The swing is the Holy Grail in golf," but it is in "Baseball" as well.

Which scene was your favorite?

My favorite part in "Golf: Golf Strategies: The Perfect Swing: Golf Game Preparation" is when Ace discusses the scale from 1-10 on how a golfer's swing can be judged. He spoke about Tiger Woods and V.J. Singh being a #5 on the scale, but I liked hearing how "Phil Michelson and Sergio Garcia consider themselves a 1 or 2 on the scale because they prefer to go almost totally by feel and natural instinct."

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

If I were to make a film on this book "Golf: Golf Strategies: The Perfect Swing: Golf Game Preparation," my tag line would be "It Don't Mean a Thing, If You Ain't Got That Swing!" This was a song written by Duke Ellington in 1931 during what was called "The Swing Era."

Any additional comments?

I chose the phrase above from the song by Duke Ellington because this was a song from one of my favorite movies "Swing Kids." These kids lived in Nazi Germany, and they loved swing music, but it was outlawed by Adolph Hitler.

A must have book for any golfer, beginner or pro!

Golf is definitely in the top ten. It is one of the most helpful and excellent books I have listened to, and I enjoyed every second of the book.

What does Joshua Mackey bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He brings a command for your attention that not many other audiobook performers have. His voice is a force to be reckoned with!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No, I did not. However, it did capture my attention and make me want to listen and take notes so I can become a better golfer!

Ace McCloud has done it again. This is a book that Golfing beginners and even the pros can listen to and up their game. It is enjoyable, interesting, and exceedingly resourceful. Its a must have for anyone who loves a good golf game.

Make your golf game better!

I actually bought this book for my son, who is interested in joining the golf team at his school and I thought he could use some extra tips. Since this is on Audible, he can listen to it while he does his running on Cross Country. I like Ace's books so when I saw this, I thought it would be a great help for my son. I recommend it to anyone who is looking to improve their golf game!

improve your golf skills and win the game

I don't want to play golf, but I am a fan of professional golf and want to understand the strategies my favorite professional golfers utilize to play golf and succeed at it. This book indeed has those but it also teaches you how to play golf, such as how to properly grip the golf club and how to do a correct stance while getting ready to swing that club.

The strategies suggested by Mr. McCloud include watching videos of other players' swings to figure out what might work best for you and then practice it until you succeed at it, taking several hard looks at where you want the ball to hit before taking that swing, and keeping a golf diary in order to note how you're playing and what led to certain results.

Highly recommended for those who do indeed want to learn to play golf and succeed at it in addition to those who already play and simply want to play better. I indeed learned a lot about what pros do that make them play it so well.

Since listening to this book I've seen dramatic changes in my gold game. The book lays out simple strategies that help you perfect your swing and be a champ on the course. The tips are easy to understand and take your training off the course as well. The book discusses ways to improve your game through proper nutrition, supplements and exercise. Overall, it's a great book for beginner and experienced golfers alike and adds some much needed insight into the game. Great book. Highly recommended.

This book on golf strategies helped me improve my golf game drastically. It gave me a history about the game of golf that I was completely unaware of. I especially liked the section that talked about the differences in swing between the mechanical and feeling approaches.

My long term interest in playing golf made it very enjoyable. I was eager to learn and be taught about the game.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Golf: Golf Strategies?

Learning about the origins of golf was my memorable moment. As I play the game, I will always have its background with me. Golf has a universal appeal. Hitting the ball from one place to another has been the common thing in golf in reference to the past and current day. Golf is now a worldwide sport and can get very competitive.

Yes I have. Joshua as always doesn't disappoint. He is fluent and clear.

This is a non fictional book so no film can be made out of it.

This book has great strategies that are simple and easy to understand. Once understood and applied, you will definitely become one of the best golf player. I am so happy as I can now join my friends in playing golf and speak something sensible about the sport. I would recommend this book to anyone interested in golf. Kudos Ace!
