Great story from one interesting Character

Would you consider the audio edition of Wild Tales to be better than the print version?

What an interesting history of such important times and musical influence.
This was such an enjoyable story and the fact that it was in his own voice makes it all the better.
I loved it.

Amazing, read it twice

couldn't put this book down. Had me from the get go. Such insight and honesty about his life. Became and even bigger fan after listening to this book.

Wild and Delightful Tales

Graham Nash is forthright, funny, emotional, uplifting and entertaining all at once. A truly remarkable addition to his already stunning body of work.

Poor boy makes good

Graham narrates this revealing story of his personal and professional life on the way to becoming a worldwide name. Aspiring musicians will recognize the same struggles in Graham's life that they encounter. Graham was never complacent and was willing to take risks to move forward.

You bet! Hearing the voice makes a lot of difference. Same with the Pete Townshend book.

Hearing his voice, knowing when he was laughing or more intense is invaluable.

Yes, but I also didn't want it to finish up.

What a life

So wonderful hearing Graham’s life story thru his own voice and words. Here’s a man how said Yes to life and has the talent to back it up and contribute. Being the only CSNY member biography I’ve read, I suspect there may be different interpretations within some of his stories, but that’s just speculation. At the core, it’s all about the music and he was there, right in the midst of it.

Well written and read. Highly suggested.

The pier spirit behind the harmony

Graham Nash has always been one of my heroes, the harmonies between produced with David Crosby and Stephen Stills lift my Spirit in my soul, soars into the beauty of sound extraordinaire.

First half great, the rest is OK

The first part of this books- his early days through the formation of CSN and then CSNY - is very entertaining and a wonderful perspective not only on his career but the broader evolution of rock. The rest of it somewhat degenerates into a series of anecdotes, many fairly repetitive, of fights, drugs, concerts, personal
philosophy, name dropping, and self-congratulation. In fairness, for all that, it gave me a real appreciation of Nash's dedication to music, the sheer persistence of CSN, and the breadth of Nash's interests and talents, although not accompanied by a lot of insight. For me the part up through the formation and development of CSNY made the second part worth it.

Just OK as Rock Star Bios Go...

I was somewhat disappointed in the content of this audiobook. It's like a never-ending story of a dysfunctional family. CSN / CSNY get together and make great music...do tons of drugs, fight and go their separate ways only to come back together to repeat the cycle over again...

Don't get me wrong, there are some real gems on information such as how the Hollies got their name as well as some great anecdotes such as how "Just A Song Before I Go" was written, but overall this bio is just not in the same league as those by Eric Clapton and Pete Townshend for example.

Not sure I'd recommend this.
