A lovely soul

Last night I finished listening to Carol Burnett’s memoir “This Time Together”. What a lovely wonderful soul she is. Growing up, I never missed her weekly show and the cast seemed like old friends. Her words at the end really resonated with me. Before you drift off to sleep at night, name 3 things you are grateful for. I love this and wow, what a nice restful slumber I had last night. If you love Carol like I do, or just looking for a good read, I highly recommend her audio book. I just downloaded her earlier memoir and can’t wait to start listening.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Carol is captivating. I watched her show faithfully. It was wonderful to hear her life story. I laughed and cried. She is truly an American Icon. We are so lucky to have her.

I grew up enjoying Carol Burnett’s show and later, her performance in “Annie.” This book was so much more than I expected. Sure, Carol Burnett is clever and funny. Naturally, she shares fun insider tidbits about her famous friends and her work. But there is a warmth conveyed in this book, a depth and perspective that left me “so glad we had this time together.” Thank you, Carol Burnett.

Beautiful!!! DO NOT LISTEN WHILE DRIVING!! You will be laughing one moment the next crying. when she talks about her closeness to the young girl that has cancer the connection she has with her and then working with her daughter on the play you'll be laughing and then you will be crying it is beautifully written.
