Fantastic book covering the influential shows of the last 15 years and the creative people behind them. I find TV so much more interesting today than movies and this book lays out Alan's arguments about how we got here. Having watched almost all of these shows myself it's hard to argue with his list. A little surprised no straight comedies on this list.
I like history, religion, philosophy, and language
This is an entertaining dissection of all the best shows of the past 15 years and I would recommend this book to anyone obsessed with pop culture.
Inconsistent audio production. There are odd times that Ochman's regular and good narration seems to jump and splices in another take. This is jarring, even if it only lasts a few moments
