Publisher's summary

Lisbeth Salander is a wanted woman. Two Millennium journalists about to expose the truth about sex trafficking in Sweden are murdered, and Salander's prints are on the weapon. Her history of unpredictable and vengeful behaviour makes her an official danger to society - but no-one can find her.

Mikael Blomkvist, Millennium magazine's legendary star reporter, does not believe the police. Using all his magazine staff and resources to prove Salander's innocence, Blomkvist also uncovers her terrible past, spent in criminally corrupt institutions. Yet Salander is more avenging angel than helpless victim. She may be an expert at staying out of sight - but she has ways of tracking down her most elusive enemies.

A Great Trilogy

Would you listen to The Girl Who Played with Fire again? Why?

Yes. Just a great read.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Girl Who Played with Fire?

Read 3 years plus ago so I can only remember all three books were excellent. I cannot imagine any film could hope to address these complex plots satisfactorily.

Have you listened to any of Saul Reichlin’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

The perfect narrator for tis author. I have not looked for him specifically as a narrator as I pick the titles and authors first but would be happy to know he was it.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Too long ago. Just loved the book. Had great affection for the central character and her publisher 'mentor' (father figure).

Any additional comments?

Great book, writer and great narration.

Classic and totally engaging

Simple, if you like Stieg Larsson this is a must. If you have not listened to his work, listen to all three books (IN THE RIGHT ORDER!). The trilogy are great works of our time.

Great writer too soon lost

Where does The Girl Who Played with Fire rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This was one of my first series introductions into audio books. Larson was a great writer and Saul Reichlin brings the story's vivid detail to life. I enjoyed all three books and have since seen the movie. A great trilogy!

What did you like best about this story?

Gripping storyline througout

What about Saul Reichlin’s performance did you like?

Excellent narrator. I will look for more of his work. Narration is so important, it adds to a great story but can also kill one. Reichlin is superb.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Various chapters affected me in different ways a few chuckles, but mostly mixed emotions.

Any additional comments?

Great trilogy it is a shame there will be no more from Larson.

Great series

Great series. I really love the characters. The first book was awesome. This one was more predictable, but I enjoyed it too.

The Larsson triology is a real treat!

Saul Reichlin does a fabulous job reading this trilogy. The stories are compelling and interesting. A great investment in downloading and listening to all three. I am certain I am not alone in being sad that Larsson died before completing the next book. Knowing nothing about Swedish society I found the books fascinating as a contrast to North American society. Loved all three books!

Incredible Suspense

This book, and the series as well, is fantastic. It gets you locked up from beginning to end. The narrator also does a wonderful job. I recomend it.
