It’s all about the food….
For the Robertsons, family is typified by the dinner table, where both food and fables are dished up with equal care. Anyone with a good story - whether it be a hunting escapade or one of the children’s antics - is welcome to share. And that’s what this family is all about - sharing, caring for one another, and the love of good food. Chapters are built around recipes that represent each stage of the Robertson life - chapters like...
An Up-Close View of America’s Favorite Backwoods Family
What do faith, family, ducks, and money have in common? The well-known stars of A&E’s hit show Duck Dynasty - Korie and Willie Robertson! From Louisiana’s bayou comes the story of how the Robertson family went from eating fried bologna sandwiches to consuming fine filet mignon.
Ask anyone in Louisiana, and they’ll tell you that the bayou state’s favorite family doesn’t live in the governor’s mansion but in the backwoods, where the Robertsons’ Duck Commander has become a sporting empire by making top-of-the-line duck calls.
Part redneck logic, part humorous family stories, combined with family-business tips and faith, this book is the inside sneak peek for everything you wanted to know about being a Robertson.
In the pages of this book, you’ll find out things about this lovable family that you won’t see on the popular TV show - such as how the family survived while Miss Kay worked days and left the boys in the care of eight-year-old older brother Alan. You’ll get to know the beautiful Korie Robertson - how she met Willie, what their dating days were like, and how she juggles being a mom to their children, a wife to Willie, and an active partner in the family business.
You’ll get a taste of the Robertson clan’s famous food, through recipes included in each chapter, and you’ll see childhood photos of Willie and Korie, photos of Willie before the beard, and photos of their children and all of the Robertson clan.

Yes, this is a book full of life principals.
They have some of the greatest voices that make you feel like they are speaking directly to you.
Yes, and we almost did. (We were on a road trip.)
BUY THIS BOOK!!!! =)
Really enjoy listening, so glad it is narrated by Willie and Korie!
I love chapter 12!
Love them all!
I recently discovered the Robertsons on A&E. I love their story. I enjoy their family bond and their faith in God ... and they are FUNNY!
The book provides insight into their testimony and it's read by Willie and his wife. Willie won't be able to make a living as a narrator - LOL, but I like him reading his own story.
If you like the show, you will enjoy the book.
If you've never watched the show, get the book and you will want to watch the show.
It's all about love of God and love of family....
Yes, because Willie and Korie are the narrators and they add flavor to their story.
Real stories about real people who have worked hard and tried to live with honor and integrity.
The recipes are fun!
Willie describing his childhood.
I recommend this book to anyone. It was a pleasure to listen to.
I would recommend you buy and read Happy Happy Happy by Willie's father Phil Robertson and skip this one by Willie. Phil's book is more interesting and entertaining.
I mainly listened to this book because I was interested in how this family built their company, from a business aspect. The book really consists of the business stuff, the family stuff, hunting stuff, and recipes. The family stuff was good, but I have read lots of "advice about kids and marriage" family books so this was stuff I'd already heard and I fast forwarded through a lot of it. The hunting/fishing stuff I'm not really interested in so I fast forwarded through that. The recipes - well I don't cook and even if I did, not sure if I'd want to hear recipes read, so I fast forwarded through that. But the business stuff, which is the main reason I listened, was interesting! I'm not saying the book was bad, just for me it wasn't all information I was interested in. Seemed a little repetitive with the concepts at times too. Like "We all have different gifts and we all appreciate each others' differences." Seemed like that was said a lot.
Great behinds the scenes insights on the family. Korie tells her story
Some of Willies stories can be found in Phil's book, but this book lets Korie tell her story. You will also learn more about some of the other regular recurring cast.
Love the show loved the family. Absolutely love this book! It is an actual testimony of how God built the Duck Dynasty! I laughed and I cried! This book will encourage you! Women this book will challenge you to stand by your man! God isn't finished with him yet! I loved that it is read by Willie and Korie Robertson. I have to read it again! I learned that My best isn't necessarily Gods best for our life! There are not enough positive adjectives to describe this book. Thank you for renewing the hope Robertson family!!!!!!!!
