Somewhere in heaven

Inspirational. What strong people. Both amazing. We take health and mobility for granted. These two people made a difference.

It hurts to read this, but . . .

This story is remarkable on many levels. To read of the courage of this couple and their family gives hope to others in a similar predicament. I only hope I can be somewhere close to as valiant in my own similar situation. I have a brother who has ALS, my only living sibling, and I have taken it upon myself to help him stay focused on the things that he still has, including the love of his wife and family. I hope it helps. As of this point in time, we know what the outcome of his disease will be, and knowing that makes it easy to get into a funk of self-pity. I’m trying to stay out of that trap, and trying to help him avoid it as well. Thanks to Chris and Dana Reeve, I do have great role models to look to during the bad times.

Loved it. This book has liife lessons for us all.

I have always loved Superman for his movies, but now I love both him and his wife because of their love for their family and their incredible strength.

Excellent Audio Book-Somewhere In Heaven

The author that put this book together for the Reeves family put it together very well. The narration was flawless as well as excellent characterization. I've purchased one other Audio CD is the past; the story line was good, but the narration was done by one person acting out all of the characters, including a five year old child--very cheesy needles to say. But "Some Where In Heaven" had me applauding one minute and tearing up the next; an excellent buy and I've already recommended this audio version to several of my friends.

What a great book and a great love story....

I would recommend this book to everyone... even those who weren't fans of Christopher Reeve. This book is about loss, courage, determination, resignation, family, spirit and most of all how strong the bonds of love can be throughout all. I enjoyed this book from the first word and Edward Hermann is an excellent narrator and was a friend to the Reeves, as well. If you want to be uplifted, even through the tragedy in this book, buy it, you won't be sorry.

Beautiful story of courage, grace and love!

I loved it! I highly recommend this amazing story of Christopher and Dana Reece, perfectly and sensitively narrated by Edward Herman. This couple, though part of the “rich and famous” set we all might have envied envy, proved through gut wrenching adversity that they were both made of pure gold and their love for each other was the “real deal”. I will be thinking of this book for a long time to come and I will turn to their examples for guidance if things take a turn for the worse in my own life.

Great reading (from Edward Herrmann) but not great

I saw this book on Audible because I was looking for audiobooks that are read by Edward Herrmann because I just love the way he reads a book. I enjoyed the reading, and I enjoyed, for the most part, most of this story. But it’s bland and not all that exciting. A lot of repeats, it feels like, about how this wonderful couple appreciated each other.

I absolutely adore Christopher Reeves. I am glad to know more about him, but I didn’t love this book.
