"I've experienced a whole lot the last few years, and I have a lot to share. So I hope that you'll take a moment to sit back, relax, and enjoy the words I've put together for you in this book. I think you'll find I've left no stone unturned, no door unopened, no window unbroken, no rug unvacuumed, no ivories untickled. What I'm saying is, let us begin, shall we?"

I have to say this book was the best! I had to listen to it at work since my day was so bad. Like boredom, it kept me laughing. Another great quality of literature to make you forget now and just listen.
I knew Ellen will be funny, but I did not expect it to be that funny!!!
I was listening to the oudiobook today while taking my morning walk. At some point I was laughing out loud!... Amazing sence of humor. Brilliant way of presenting everyday situations .
Highly recommend it.
Maybe one of her earlier ones that had better reviews?
no! what else is there to say? she's clearly found the answer to everything. ha.
i think it's easy for people in her position to say the things she says and hold the perspectives she holds. overall, its a good self-help with humor i guess? i thought there'd be more insight or depth but… i guess in a book called 'seriously…I'm kidding' i should have known better. i was sad to have wasted my first credit from an audible gift certificate on it. didn't even finish it.
This book seems to have no defined purpose. It jumps from one topic to another, almost like a stand-up routine. There's nothing particularly enlightening or informative about it, but it is entertaining. It's great as an escape, if you don't want to think too much about anything.
Interestingly, I almost feel like it would have been funnier reading it on paper rather than listening to it. Ellen doesn't read it naturally like she would deliver it live, which is odd. I almost feel I would have heard it in my head (while reading) the way she would have delivered it live, and her reading it got in the way of the jokes.
I love Ellen as much as the next person, but I was disappointed with this book. I thought I would get some really funny stories, told in a true Ellen DeGeneres comedic way, but instead the book was preachy and came across as a self help book. I laughed here and there, but became annoyed with hearing about her secrets to a happy life and turned it off.
