Editorial reviews

Political comedian, New York Times best-selling author, and The Daily Show regular Lewis Black sits with Emmy Award-winning reporter Connie Chung to discuss his autobiographical book I'm Dreaming of a Black Christmas, which Black, in his usual sardonic style, describes as less a book about Christmas than a book about being single. Chung playfully nudges Black about his past relationships and the camaraderie between the two is apparent as Black eases into speaking on his favorite political topics, including his scathing opinions on Alaskan voters.

Publisher's summary

Lewis Black may not be the last angry man, but he is certainly the funniest. The celebrated political comedian, master of comedic angst, New York Times best-selling author and Daily Show regular is back to discuss life, politics and his new book about his least favorite holiday, Christmas. In I’m Dreaming of a Black Christmas. Connie Chung is an Emmy Award-winning network television anchor and reporter whose career has spanned NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN and MSNBC.

He has a lot to say; she talks too much.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, despite her talkiness.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Mr. Black

How did the narrator detract from the book?

Interviewer not only talked but laughed loud and long.

Any additional comments?

I know it's exciting to interview someone interesting, but it works better if one can calm down and remember it's about the other person.
