Avid listener on my daily commute!
This was one of the most valuable free listens I've stumbled across on Audible. I'd known Juliet Stevenson was a wonderfully talented actor of both screen and narration, but I didn't expect to discover her to be such an all-around gem of a person. And best of all, because the interviewer asks Stevenson so many questions about her own favorite audiobooks, I got lots of ideas about interesting new (to me) audiobooks to listen to, both narrated by her (Apple Tree Yard) and narrated by others (Alan Bennett's plays and stories).
Did anyone else who listened to this interview catch that Stevenson says she has recorded ALL of Jane Austen? That means that she's narrated Pride and Prejudice, but then where is it on Audible? Curious.
I am a big fan of Juliet Stevenson's performances. It was interesting to learn how she approaches reading the wonderful novels she has helped make into audiobooks. This interview was an excellent listen.
If you agree, you'll enjoy hearing her talk about her favorites, as well as how she approaches each performance.
