I love Mindy

I am a huge fan of Mindy and her work on the office but this book made me like we even more! She is funny and if you like behind the seems kind of stuff you will love this book.Cant wait to hear newer book

Delightful

Let's see: her self-indulgent rambling is endless, most of the tales are pointless, and much of her life is an uninteresting series of events. Yet I was entertained for every bit. Mindy Kaling is highly relatable. She's smart but not too smart. Girly but not too girly. On top of that she's a good story teller and a great presenter. I'm glad I took a chance on this book.

pretty pretty pretty good

this is a charming and pleasant listen but I found myself craving something...more from what she had to say. loved hearing her story and how she got where she is, but she left out juicy details and golden anecdotal opportunities. in conclusion, it made me smile a lot but I never really laughed out loud

What did you love best about Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (And Other Concerns)?

She has a good handle on her age group and since she isn't twenty something (sorry) it's actually relevant to those of us that have lived a little. My 30+ gal friend and my 40+ self each found a lot of fun and thought in there.

What did you like best about this story?

I like that she has 'favorite lists' rather than top ten. She isn't arrogant about what she likes being the best but rather is just plain sharing.She nails the growing up that guys have to do ... eventually!

What about Mindy Kaling and Michael Schur ’s performance did you like?

She gets better at reading her book after the first chapter. It sounded like this was kind of a new thing for her or she simply had to get a rhythm going. After that, it's her voice so it fits well. He does some snarky stuff that he wrote and it plays well.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

lol ... no ... it's not that kind of book! (ok well maybe the thing about pal's)

Exactly that...a "laugh out loud" read about the friend you never knew you wish you had. Relatable & fun! Wish I could read it again for the first time. ...one of those, you know? ;)

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I listened to this to and from work, and I hated to get out of the car. I would laugh out loud by myself in my car. The other drivers must have thought I was nuts.
