    "A great between-the-seasons story!"

The perfect story for listening between seasons 2 and 3, it continues where season 2 ends and tells what happened before season 3 begins. Lewis tells the story perfectly so you're completely ready for the first episode of the next season.

Even if you've watched season 3 (and beyond), this is an excellent listen. Highly recommeded for Homeland fans, if you're not a Homeland fan you won't have any idea what's going on.

    "Is there no more?"
What made the experience of listening to Free: Homeland: Phantom Pain the most enjoyable?

It is a great story that ties in with the TV show, my only complaint is that it is too short!

Would you recommend Free: Homeland: Phantom Pain to your friends? Why or why not?

Absolutely! Anyone you like the show would only gain by hearing this short story.

Have you listened to any of Damian Lewis’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No, but I’m looking forward to hearing more! That voice is one of the reasons why I love his acting.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Being alone with your thoughts is not always a bad thing

    Any additional comments?

More Homeland fiction would be great!

Not what i expected. The narrator voice, annoying. Sound quality, could be better. Voices hissy.

"A Lot in a Short Story"

29 minutes of a story that feels like The Bourne series and I was dropped in the middle of it all. Just ok. Wish there was more to the story but not enough to watch the show.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

This is a short story, told in the form of a letter, and worked well enough that way

What does Damian Lewis bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

His voice is of course just right, as he is the screen actor too

Do you think Free: Homeland: Phantom Pain needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

It is set for a follow up. If on the small screen or as a book.

I have to start this off by saying I've never seen this show, so I'm sure this book would be interesting if you've seen the show, but if you have not it does not stand on it's own.

"Nice Addition to the Homeland Story"
What made the experience of listening to Free: Homeland: Phantom Pain the most enjoyable?

Filling in the blank of getting to South America for Brody.

    Which scene was your favorite?

None stand out more than any other, but since it is so short I consider it all one scene and the general story is good.

"Maybe if I watched the show!"

Although well written and narrated by an expert this book out of context lacked the hook to motivate me to read more.
Only now that I have signed on do I realize it is part of a tv show I have not watched.

I suspect followers of the show will get far more from this I did.

I am a registered nurse and a father of four great kids. I live in a rural part of Oregon and love it. I enjoy books, but Sci-Fi Fantasy has allows been the ones I reach for more than others.

    "Enjoyable substory for TV Series"

Enjoyable listen. Not taxing on the ears or mind. Plot was thoughtful, with minimal character development-so if you don't know the show you may be lost. Makes me interested in seeing the next season of the show.
