Publisher's summary

Stormi Nelson, best-selling romance author, moved into her huge Victorian house in the private community of Oak Meadows Estates. When her agent tells her that her characters are becoming too cardboard and that she needs to get out and mingle with people, she comes up with the idea of a neighborhood watch program. The only problem is...she’s the only member.

On her first night of patrol, she stumbles over a dead body, meets a hunky detective, who happens to be her neighbor and clearly frustrated with her, and her mother, sister, niece, and nephew arrive to shake up Stormi’s peaceful life. As she is immersed ever deeper into the mystery surrounding a neighbor’s murder, she decides to change writing tactics and write a romantic mystery based on her experiences. What follows is a frolicking good time as Stormi finds herself the nosiest neighbor of them all. Can she find the killer before she becomes the next victim?

great start

I loved all that Stormi found herself getting into. For someone who pretty much stayed at home, she found herself involved in a murder and coming up with ways to find out who did it. She soon teams up with her mom and the local cop to try to draw out the killer using everything from the neighborhood watch to to taking food to neighbors. Look forward to the next one.

Easy listening

I accidentally picked book 3 first but liked it so went back and got books 1 and 2. Nice easy listening I can enjoy while cooking, baking, walking or working on my PC.

Writing Can Be Murder

When hearing a dog whine, romance writer Stormie Nelson stumbles upon a dead body. She decides to use this as the basis for her change over to mystery books. This is a fun cozy with some really quirky characters. These include her mother, sister, teenage niece and nephew, and the neighbors from hell. I was gifted this from the author.

Short, Sweet, Intriguing Mystery!

Great title with fun, up beat narration! The story kept me guessing and I loved the narrators variation of voices for the all of the different characters (Nasal Angela always makes me laugh!) Looking forward to listening to more books in this series.
