My First Time Reading Her Work…
As a faith based poet, I’ve heard her name a few times and decided to give it a listen. I can see why so many like her work, but it wasn’t for me. Her voice is very soothing, but it can drone on at times. I was looking for lyrical depth and there was little to be found. These felt more like journal entries and less like poems. I can see the appeal for folks, but her work just isn’t for me. I wish her the best in her future endeavors and may listen to a snippet of her newest book to see what she has to offer.
