Publisher's summary

Is adulthood a curse? What should I do with all these participation trophies?

As young adults try to figure things out and answer deep, soul-heavy questions, they’re given flack for living in “extended adolescence". In a world that insists we can (and should) have it all, Adulting for Jesus uses humor to offer topical advice and encouragement for those who are asking, “Is this really all there is?”

Develop realistic expectations and a healthy, godly outlook on life for:

  • relationships
  • calling
  • blessings
  • serving
  • sabbath
  • social media
  • anxiety

Listeners will find that by learning to laugh at themselves and find humor in situations, the reduced stress and anxiety makes the ride so much more enjoyable. Most importantly, the more young adults learn about God and see his faithfulness in their lives, the more they grow to love his will, even if it’s not exactly what they imagined.

Wisdom & Comedy for Every Adult

I highly recommend this as an audiobook just because of the narrator's performance. I could listen to this author narrating a phone book and it would be interesting! This book delivers practical guidance, biblical wisdom, and hard truths, all with the perfect amount of gravity and comedy to make you eager for more. A must-read for adults and teens.

Words with the Listen

My mom saw Kristin perform at one time and told me how much I would appreciate her humor. I a millennial begrudged to admit it do to the fact that I feel more like a baby boomer found her words inspiring and relatable. Her wisdom was well appreciated and spoke to many questions that swim around in my brain daily. Definitely worth the listen or read.

Brilliantly Assembled

Kristin questioned at the beginning of her book if she had anything new to add to the conversation. Yes, she did and the things that I have heard before needed to be spoken again… and again.

This book takes many of things you may have known before and some new ways of thinking and assembles them perfectly, delivers them articulately and walks you through the process of fixing our eyes on Jesus.

Even though I’m not in the age demographic that she is targeting, I learned plenty. I was reminded of little things I had forgotten and I got to walk through and watch moments of Kristin’s life of joy, laughter and perseverance.

Great book, great read. So glad I didn’t put this one off!! - Mia KOEHNE
