I'm pretty much happy with this audiobook

I am a Finance/Accounting undergraduate starting my MBA. This book starts by going over the Principles, Financial Statements, Ratios, then Capital decisions. This was a very good review book for someone trying to freshen up on their finance/accounting skills. The author puts his examples in a very easy to understand format and does not go into too complex scenarios; he keeps everything pretty general and basic.

Targets the essentials

Excellently written in a simple, easy to understand manner - I needed a refresher as I majored in Accounting years ago, and it was a bit more simple than I personally needed, but I still was reminded of deeper/complex concepts within the simplistic format that it is written - so that is a lot to say for a basic book about Accounting. Herold does a great job of laying out a very complex field into very simplistic terms. A great segway into the next level of complexity. I will be listening the Book 15 (Laws & Regulations) next to also refresh myself.

An Energizing Financial Resource

Although this book could be read and understood by someone with little or no experience with accounting concepts, I think it is much more appropriate for someone with at least fundamental conceptual understanding.

I really enjoyed this audiobook

I bought this book because while I understand this stuff, I often feel like I missed some important, basic things during school and that missing those things has made the quite simple accounting world seem more difficult than it actually is.

Great Starting Point

Financial terms many take for granted are effectively defined. (Difference between revenue and income, anyone?) This is NOT advanced economics but rather Accounting terms for those investors, business people and others who need to understand the nuts and bolts of financial statements. For that purpose, I cannot imagine how a book could be better than this one.

Best one I've read so far

Great book to learn from zero or to refresh key accounting concepts, including test for the CPA Exam. Easy to understand. Based on practical examples, following a storyline. Thus, it is carefully written and presented, resulting in a very didactic resource, just designed to Bookkeeping and Finance Principles, Tax Accounting & Management for Business. I do recommend it.
