Publisher's summary

When Attorney General Jeff Sessions resigned in November 2018, two years after Donald Trump's surprise electoral victory, a political outsider named Matthew Whitaker became Acting Attorney General of the United States.

Now Whitaker shares the shocking truth that he discovered when he temporarily became head of the Justice Department: that so-called public servants, the people charged with upholding our nation's founding principle of "equal justice under law", have abandoned that principle in order to advance a vicious partisan vendetta against President Trump.

Matt Should Have Read It Himself

The book would have been better if the author had read it himself.

All the appendices at the end were wearisome.

Not really a full length book!

The content was excellent, facinating, and told by an excellent first-hand source. But, half of the book is just a compilation of speeches given by the author...

Worse than feared

Our govt is in worse condition than I thought it was. The deep state is so entrenched that it may never return to what it was designed to do... Serve the American Citizen. Not vice-versa. God help us. Please.

Above The Law

Matthew Whitaker takes us on a journey through the law and it does seem that their is a two tiered system. To me it made things clearer and validated many of the views.

The narrator was excellent and easy to listen to. Able to follow along while also reading the book.

Gave me a new perspective

Even if you don’t support Trump, we can all agree that the legal process should be followed, and Whitaker explains why the proceedings should be concerning for everyone. I found the last part of the book very interesting, learning about the PSN program

Confirmation

As a police detective in a major east coast city and later as a Special Agent in the Criminal Investigation Division of the IRS (Los Angeles) I saw first hand that the FBI is too bureaucratic to be effective and that most of the agents are lazy and borderline incompetent.

As AG Whitaker skillfully explains those qualities fostered an environment in which a cabal became so drunk on their own power that they actually tried to over throw our duly elected Government.

Stunning!

Eye opener. Great book.

Highly recommend to all Americans. Should be recommended to students as well so they understand the American laws.
