The Federal success along the river opened the way for advances into central and eastern Tennessee, which culminated in the bloody battle of Chickamauga and then a struggle for Chattanooga. Fantastic Story
What a fantastic story! The weaving together of these 5 lives intertwined in and around the end of the Battle of Sharpsburg meeting together and affected by the December battle at Fredericksburg. Soldiers and non combatants woven together in a story of the American Civil War.
