Publisher's summary

A coach accident, a handsome French count, and a disastrous snowstorm! The excitement of a son born at Christmastide to Darcy and Elizabeth is overshadowed by his sister Georgiana’s growing fascination with a stranded nobleman.

Georgiana returned to Pemberley fresh from a highly successful London season, yet unmoved by any of the young men who lined up for introductions. Then, out of a terrible storm, there arrives a young French count with the face and address of an angel. Is this the one for which her heart has waited?

Trapped at Pemberley by the mounting snow, Darcy must sort out the truth of the Frenchman's vague story. Or is this mysterious stranger's tale one for his oldest friend, Lord Dyfed Brougham, to unravel? Can his summons even get through before Georgiana's captivation by the handsome count turns into something more?

Return to the world of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice in Pamela Aidan's new Christmas novella, A Proper Darcy Christmas! Pamela Aidan is the author of the groundbreaking series Fitzwilliam Darcy, Gentleman.

Great story.

This story is as much about Georgiana Darcy as ODC. I little bit of angst but in a good way. It was an enjoyable story. Great Jaff

Delightful story!

The Darcys entertain at Christmas when an unexpected guest arrives. Suspicion is soon raised and Darcy calls on his old friend, Lord Brougham, to come sort out what is going on. I loved the story focusing on Georgiana, who is showing a nice maturity after her first season in London. If you are looking for a light, amusing, and happily ended story, this one is for you. I will be adding it to my relisten list.

Finally, after years of waiting...

I read the three books comprising Fitzwilliam Darcy. Gentleman, with great enjoyment. It's lovely to hear Darcy's side of Pride and Prejudice, and as a Valentine's Day rite I listen to it again every February.
After years of waiting following the conclusion of the first three books, I am happy to report that there is finally an answer to the question of what happens to Dy and Georgiana. My only reticences in not rating the book higher was that I missed the original narrator, and I fervently could have hoped for a longer book!

Love her writing!

Absolutely a fun afternoon listening to this book. No one writes about the Darcy. It’s like Pamela Aiden.

Loved it!

Wonderful story, characters remaining true to Austen, and thank God for the narrator. I love Aidan’s first trilogy, but the narrator of that trilogy almost ruins the audio version, making the masculine Darcy sound unbearably prissy. This narrator is fantastic, and I’d love to hear an updated version of the trilogy remade with this narrator.
