A wide-eyed, warm-hearted discovery of history underfoot:)

Written and narrated by the author in the insatiably curious and charmingly romantic tradition of writers like Ivor Noël Hume, A Field Guide to Larking is wonderfully ordered, and well informed. Lara Maiklem champions not only the finds and their stewardship but of the lark’s role as ambassador of preservation. Her photos in the physical book and on social media are beautiful and an incredible accompanying resource.
