Publisher's summary

Prepare for a double dose of romance and fun when two sets of Amish twins find love.

Identical brothers Zeb and Zeke Bontrager aren’t looking for love. They have their hands full with a new horse farm, a half-finished ranch house, and a wild colt, thanks to Zeke’s hasty business dealings. Now, Zeb must contend with Zeke’s bad decisions, hidden debts, and tendency to avoid responsibility, which threaten their good standing in the Birch Creek Amish community.

When a newspaper ad prompts Darla King to travel to Birch Creek in search of a husband, her identical twin, Amanda, promises their parents she’ll convince Darla to come home. After all, Amanda is the responsible and reliable one. She has always protected Darla, who acts on impulse and trusts people too easily. The sisters’ close relationship is strained as Darla asserts her independence, and Amanda grapples with regrets of her past and the longings of her own heart.

When Zeb and Amanda join forces to protect Darla and Zeke from each other, none of them can possibly predict the outcome as all four come face-to-face with their highest hopes and deepest insecurities in the first installment of the Amish Mail-Order Bride series.

Cute story

Loved this story. It’s story line is so true in real life. Parents and their children. Also between twins.

My Musings

What s pure delight of a story. Darla us so full of energy and has a lovely bubbly personality. Amanda is quite different from her twin, yet just as delightful in her own way. The twin brothers are also different from each other. One is thinks things through before making a decision while The other is impulsive and tends to jump before leaping, but hus character development is the most profound. Loved both the brothers. The narrator is amazing giving each character their own voice showing their distinct personality. Pure perfect. Happy reading and listening!

A Double Dose of Love

This is such an outstanding book. I loved listening to every second of it. You become so captivated by the people that you will both laugh in joy and cry right along with them. Read this book. It will really be an amazing decision.

Great story

loved the story but unfortunately the narrator rushed through the plot and ran sentences together. Many times it was hard to tell when the scene changed because there was no break in her reading.

Slow start

Very good book but starts out very slow, if one hangs in there it will get better.

Ridiculous

The narrator reads too fast and doesn’t break in between subjects. There really isn’t much of a plot, just several hours of rambling. Darla is supposed to be naïve and impulsive but this 21-year-old woman thinks and behaves like a 12-year-old girl. It’s more than naïve, she comes off of as just plain stupid. There’s really no point to this book. I wish I hadn’t wasted a credit.

Not the best from this author

It was hard to stay with this story. Simplistic, childish and not the usual well thought out, fully developed believable characters and storylines this author usually produces.
