Publisher's summary

He’s a thief. It’s who he is. It’s what he does.

Arrested on a fabricated theft charge, Gregg Hadyn once again faces prison. Strategic Intelligence Response Unit Director Denny Garret’s attempt to exonerate him is complicated by a strange twist that puts Gregg on the lam, reverting to his life as a jewel thief. As the SIRU chases the indomitable thief, a national security threat—a mind-control device being offered to the highest bidding international terrorist—splits their attention. Optimistic he can lure Gregg back into the fold, Denny concocts a con to apprehend the terrorists—a con that goes horribly wrong.

The SIRU needs Gregg, but the errant thief is wrestling with his own demons. Who is his father? Might he not be a Hadyn? And what really happened to his mother?

His relationship with Special Operative Carly Macklin, his position with the SIRU, and the nation’s security all hanging in the balance, International Jewel Thief Gregg Hadyn must face his cryptic past. Should he return to his illustrious criminal career or embrace his new position as a “white-hat” thief for this team of spies?

Edge of my seat!

JA Devereaux does an amazing job in this book! while the 3rd in the series, the characters of Gregg, Carly, Denny and the rest of the team come together so strongly as an ensemble. The characters are very well developed and the plot is fun with enough twists and gotcha moments to keep you guessing all the way through the climax.

The new male narrator does a fabulous job creating the story and voicing believable characters.

I'm looking forward to the next audiobook in the series.
