Publisher's summary

Called on a dangerous assignment, leopard shifter Conner Vega returns to the Panama rainforest of his homeland, looking every bit the civilized male. But as a member of the most lethal of the shifter tribes, he doesn’t have a civilized bone in his body. He carries the scent of a wild animal in its prime, he bears the soul-crushing sins of past kills - and he’s branded by the scars of shame inflicted by the woman he betrayed.

Isabeau Chandler’s a Borneo shifter who’s never forgiven Conner - or forgotten him. The mating urge is still with her, and when she crosses Connor’s path, passions run like wild fire. But as Connor’s mission draws Isabeau closer, another betrayal lies waiting in the shadows - and it’s the most perilous and intimate one of all.

Steamy and had action, but . . .

What made the experience of listening to Wild Fire the most enjoyable?

Steamy sex scenes and interesting storyline.

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

The narration dragged sometimes. In some places, the narrator's voice dropped low enough that I had trouble hearing what he was saying. I wouldn't have minded too much if I'd had my paperback copy handy, but I didn't. I couldn't always drop what I was doing to back up and turn up the volume for the part that I missed, so I was a little annoyed.

Any additional comments?

I was torn with my stars on this one. At times I had it in mind to give it 3 stars, but I remembered really enjoying the paperback; which I bought and read years ago when it first came out. That's why I thought I'd like the audiobook for sure. I'll probably listen to it again, if only to catch the things I missed. Also, CF's leopards are hot!

The best yet!

I loved this book. I loved it in hard copy. I *LOVED* it in audio. Phil Gigante is amazing. Without a doubt, he is the best choice to narrate Christine Feehan's books. (I actually like him well enough that I am going to get other audios just because he narrated them).
He brought Feehan's amazing characters to life. This book is amazing in it's own right, though. Intense romantic scenes. Great fight scenes. Brilliant characterizations that make you root for the hero and *want* the happy ending. She just keeps getting better and better as her various series continue! She is never stale or formulaic. In short? Great book and Great narration!

Steamy!!

This installment of the series is more like the first two. It takes place in the rain forest and and the characters are wonderful. Phil Gigante does a great job performing the characters and the accents are superb. I could feel the heat and humidity of the forest and the passion of the characters. I highly recommend all the books in this series altho I liked the last one the least.

Outstanding

VERY Difficult to pause or even Stop to Sleep. The narrator's voice was So Captivating! I'm hoping he will be the narrator in more of Christine Feehan's books on Audible! The Story line was done with such Vivid Imagation and Expertly written. Definitely a book to recommend to anyone wants who wants Adventures and the Sensuality of the Leopard's

Wild Fire: Leopard Series, Book 4.

Great book, with lots of action and dangerous game, that does take a different course of action. Love that, both couples despite all the affliction that was caused and brought on by their fellow leopard species. In his lust for another male’s mate in heat. Long after they found out that Isabeau Chandler is a female leopard and that she is coming into her first heat and the emerging of the female leopard. Ottila Zorba set out to claim Isabeau Chandler from her mate who is Conner Vega. Again, developing the bad need for vengeance and trying to claim another’s mate or in the need of what is not his own. They were able to see past the pain and confusion that the other leopard tries to destroy their love and mating while focusing on what matters most to them. Which ends up being their family and finding their baby brother. Wild Fire is the fourth installment of the Leopard People series. I’m not going to go into the basic plot, you can get that information from the cover blurb, but what I will say is that I’m always impressed by how well Christine Feehan writes emotions, angst, regret, betrayal, guilt, sorrow, joy, passion, love. You name it and she carries you through the feelings it which is one of the things I find most appealing about her stories – the ability to connect on a personal level with the characters. Another thing I love about Christine Feehan’s writing of the Leopard People series is how incredibly detailed she is about the differences between the cat and the human, each trying to live according to their own nature’s law and doing it while inhabiting the same body. There’s this odd need for cooperation between the two species. And the shifting process is given in such detail that I can easily visualize it, and almost feel it happening. And as cheesy as this sounds while reading Wild Fire I had a light bulb over the head moment where the importance of being comfortable in your own body, of accepting yourself exactly as you are became even more important to me. All the self-help books, deep inner reflection, well-meaning friends, and psychology have never come closer to giving me the level of understanding that Conner and Isabeau did as he encouraged her not to be ashamed of who and what she is, but to embrace it and find all the good in it. Like I said, cheesy, I know, but hey… we should take life’s positive lessons where ever we can get them! Anyway, this is yet another great addition to the series of the leopard people and books by Christine Feehan and I can’t wait to see also learn about whose the next couple will be and their stories in the next book, but I'd be thrilled if it were Drake's story! But now I know that Saria Boudreaux and Drake Donovan.

Awesome audio

Another great story ! Narration was great. Phil as usual did an awesome job with all of the characters. I was a little irritated at how slow Isodor was at times but considering she was new to being a leopard I tried to be more understanding. I love all of the leopard series. This audiobook was well worth the credit.
