I haven't slept in a week. Because of my neighbor, you see. He's up all night with his girlfriend, having more sex than an adult film star, except they're nowhere near as good at it. And with these thin walls, it's safe to say I'm never going to sleep again.

So what does a lonely girl in Japan do when she's bombarded with a lack of sleep and love on the brain? She makes some questionable online dating decisions, of course!

Follow me, Cyndi, as I descend into some of the craziest days of my life. Dealing with creepy swipe-righters, fighting pharmacies for rubber prophylactics, getting lost in sleepy Japanese neighborhoods, staring at a bedazzled karaoke machine....

Oh, and meeting the one-night stand who would become the love of my life. And the perfect revenge against my ridiculous neighbor.

Very funny

I love her writing style. She’s very relatable. It was a good afternoon laugh. I will be looking for her other books.

LOL funny

This was a fun 3 hours. Ava Lucas's voice is fun, pleasant, animated, great with accents and she knows how to tell a story,... and what a story it is. Like the author mentioned in the beginning, it is like sitting down with a close friend and listen to her shenanigans from her last trip. Some of the expressions heard and the internal monologue of the author are hilarious, snarky and so realistic that I could totally imagine her doing this or that. I laughed out loud while shopping and have others grin too... or frown because I startled them. Hadrien, the guy she meets, turns out to be sweet and hawt too. It was funny how the language barrier made for some hilarious misunderstandings. Loved the ending and I am glad Ms. Dane changed it to give us a HEA.

Fun short story

Great narration. I didn't really care what made it a HEA, but oh well.

New author for me and will look up other titles by her.

A quick, fun listen!

4 Crazy Ass Stars!!!

Here's another case of the narration made the story for me. I'm not sure I would have like the story as much as I did had I just read it. Don't get me wrong, it was funny and sexy and I did enjoy the storyline. Ava Lucas just did a hell of a job with the narration.

Fun Listen!

This was my first Cynthia Dane's book. This was a fun and short listen. The narration was really well done and easy to listen to, as always with Ava Lucas! I received this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

What a crazy world!!💜

This was a unique story told in a unique way about some very unique circumstances. This was unexpected, funny and sexy. The narration was absolutely brilliant! Ava Lucas performed each character with so much enthusiasm and her delivery was spot on. Well done!
This story has an HEA.
I recommend this book!

Sisters Spotlight 💜

Laugh out loud funny and romantic!

Cynthia Dane had me smiling from the first scene in her "true enough" story! This easy, quick witted listen lets us hear the antics of Cyndi as she looks for that one night stand hookup. When she connects with Hadrian, we are treated to a awkwardly funny date! A language barrier, an attraction, some karaoke and steamy passion leaves us wanting, but it doesn't end there. Dane gives us that cup of coffee feel as we listen to her through the fun, the annoying and the passionate and leaves us with the sweetest of endings.

Ava Lucas tells this story as if we are sitting with her, and it's fabulous. It may be early on in her narration career, but her comedic timing, fantastic accent and flow of this book shows her incredible talent off. I loved the listen as always and can't wait til her next release.

Nice story to listen to today at work

Sometimes it is nice to listen to a story that is only a few hours long. I did like the story overall. There were some things that seemed a little off but that is probably a personal preference. I liked the concept of the story and did help the day to fly by at work. I do not want to give any more details as I like to go into a story blind. I will say though that sometimes it was difficult to visualize some of the characters based upon their names and what they said.
