Publisher's summary

This insane story is based on true events, and isn't for the faint of heart. It involves loan sharks, baseball bats, guns, alcohol, cocaine, gambling, and the scariest thing of all: human nature.

Rabbit Hole

The life of a gambler and addict is not an easy one, someone who is trying to pursue their “dream” and getting caught up in themselves along the way going down the rabbit hole, able to climb their way almost to the top only to fall back down again. I enjoyed listening to the book and thought it was very well written. It was hard to stop listening as I wanted to see what was going to happen next. I look forward to hearing how the next chapter of your life works out and I wish you all the best!

Entertaining

For me it was entertaining and kept me engrossed with the story and life of Steven Thompson because as it turns out in many ways me and him had similar lives. I enjoyed the format of a book about true life event and being narrated by the actual person it is about with the mix of the author/writer (Tyler Nals) adding his storytelling added in, very unique.

An interesting biopic!

What a tale! For fans of Tyler’s works, this read doesn’t stray too far from the beaten path he takes to build the story from the ground up. Avid readers can discover slight differences to his overall “style” due to the collaborative efforts made to identify with the main character. Keep up the great work, Tyler! Andy, great work as always with narration!

An insight into addiction

Very engaging. The book grabbed me from the start. Steven’s story gives you a small glimpse of how addiction can destroy everything you’ve worked for in a split second. It also makes me quite grateful that I was blessed to not have an addiction myself. I hope he is able to pay off his debt so that he can have his happily ever after with his family.
