Find out what happens to the hapless young detective from Naples who travels to an Italian hillside town to solve a murder and ends up falling in love; and the pretentious schoolboy whose discovery of the origins of his father’s wealth changes his life forever. Revel in the stories of the woman who dares to challenge the men at her Ivy League university during the 1930s, and another young woman who thumbs a lift and has an encounter she will never forget. An Excellent and Emotional Collection.

When I started listening to this collection of short stories, I could not stop. These stories were funny, witty, conspiratorial, heartfelt and gut wrenching. I enjoyed each and every one of them. The narrators were exceptional. This is a collection I will listen to time and again.

Pretty good.

This was a nice collection of short stores. Some better than others, and some very, very Jeffrey Archer. A nice diversion from the usual fare of many too long fictional works, of late.

Entertaining tales by Lord Archer

Most of these stories have been around for some years, but are nonetheless still worth hearing. All the narrators are excellent but I wish we could hear who read what in the credits, as I could only recognize Armitage and Lesser.

Brilliant!

Oh how I loved these stories! It is difficult to pick a favorite and I can guarantee you’ll remember them long after you finish. My emotions ran the gamut during this listen. The narrators are wonderful and spot on with each character. This was a real treat and I’ll be finding more stories from Jeffrey Archer. Highly recommend!!!
