Publisher's summary

From New York Times best-selling author Jonathan Maberry (creator of the Netflix series V Wars) comes the first in a brand-new series featuring Joe Ledger and Rogue Team International.

A small island off the coast of Korea is torn apart by a bioweapon that drives everyone - men, women, and children - insane with murderous rage. The people behind the attack want Korea reunified or destroyed. No middle ground. No mercy. Soon Japan, China, and the United States are pushed to the brink of war, while terrorists threaten to release the rage bioweapon in a way of pure destructive slaughter. Joe Ledger leads his newly formed band of international troubleshooters in their first mission to stop the terror cell, fighting alongside agents from North and South Korea. With the lives of billions at stake, Ledger is willing to bring his own brand of terror to this frightening new war.

Havoc! Havoc!

The DMS is gone but the need for Joe, the Deacon and of course his 'friends in the industry' continues. So much happens in this book - it will hit you hard. No spoilers here but even with all the suspense, I was teary eyed in several places.

Blown away! Maberry & Porter = an incredible team!

Jonathan Maberry's compelling writing once again held sway over every spare moment in my day as I listened to his latest, Rage, while I drove, walked, ran errands, did dishes, and dropped off to sleep. I LOVE these characters! Joe Ledger, Junie, Mr. Church, Ghost, Toys, Rudy, Top and Bunny, Violin, Lillith, and of course Bug are real and dear to me...not only because of Mr. Maberry's excellent storytelling, but because of the truly awesome narration of RAY PORTER! He is the best of the best, making each character come to life with personality and conviction. There is no full cast that could stand against Ray Porter's narration. His timing, inflection, and thoughtful delivery are unequaled. Obviously, I highly recommend this book, which could stand alone...but do yourself a huge favor and start with Patient Zero so you don't miss a thing!

headline

These guys have got to be the stupidest agency ever. if everybody else's family is being targeted why wouldn't you at least check on your own family?

New call signs but another exciting story

I'm not sure why there are a few bad reviews of the book based only on the new call signs and team name. Granted the name changes are a little disappointing but it's a new organization and completely understandable and expected. With that said this book is just as exciting as the other books in the series. Now that the DMS is done and no longer a governmental agency being replaced by RTI which is loosely connected to NATO the possible story lines are limitless. I can't wait for the next book to see where the story goes.

WOW!! JUST...WOW!!

Amazing! Might just be my favorite Joe Ledger book yet, and I have read/listened to every one in the series. Never wanted to push pause and absolutely dreaded it being done before I was even half way through!

Ray Porter is just perfect, I can't imagine anyone else becoming the voice of my heroes or villains. My only complaint is that he ruined pretty much any other narrators for me, nobody comes close to the job he does, brilliant!

How long until the next in the series Mr. Maberry? Can't wait!

Mind Blowing

I just finished the story and I'm about to start listening again. What a great story. Once again, Ray Porter does a great job of narrating.

He's still got it!

When I purchased this book I asked myself. How many times can a person try to end the world with a man made virus? it is 11th in the series, but wow! Just wow.

Ray Porter's narration is top notch. I could not imagine reading this book physically. I have a need for him to read it to me. Mr. Porter portrays every character with such empathy and reality that you forget one person is narrating.

I cannot recommend this series of Joe Ledger novels enough. 5 stars does not give this book justice. I need more stars, a universe of stars.

Simply Amazing

I absolutely love Mayberry‘s work, and the Joe ledger series especially. This is another fantastic ride which will keep you entertained for days. Mayberry craftS a story with equal parts Michael Crichton and Stephen King. It is scientific, militarily sound, action packed, and brutal when necessary.
