Gifted with meta-human powers, Tori Rivas kept away from the limelight, preferring to work as a thief in the shadows. But when she's captured trying to rob a vault that belongs to a secret guild of villains, she's offered a hard choice: prove she has what it takes to join them or be eliminated. Apprenticed to one of the world's most powerful (and supposedly dead) villains, she is thrust into a strange world where the lines that divide superheroes and criminals are more complex than they seem.
The great Norse myths are woven into the fabric of our storytelling - from Tolkien, Alan Garner and Rosemary Sutcliff to Game of Thrones and Marvel Comics. They are also an inspiration for Neil Gaiman's own award-bedecked, best-selling fiction. Accounting is a fascinating subject, and this series of books aims to demystify it by simplifying the concepts and practices behind the subject some consider arcane.
This is a summary and not the original book. In 1989, Steven Covey published a business book, or was it a self-help book? Actually, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People is a hybrid. Like a Toyota Prius or a Ford Focus blends electricity and gasoline to maximize efficiency, one can blend the way he or she conducts business and leads their personal lives to benefit both. The two are intertwined and when you lead life with poise, astuteness, dignity, and a sense of purpose, success can be achieved.
This prayer goes out to all my family and friends all across the globe.

He was a man of quiet faith and determined courage who lived by an unwavering code of honor. He was a firm believer that the good guys would win and the bad guys would lose, although it didn't mean there wouldn't be casualties or injuries in the process of winning. EMP survivor Chris Chandler wasn't one to back away from overwhelming odds, and as of now, the odds weren't stacked in his favor. One way or the other, people were going to get hurt here or killed.
People have been climbing as long as they've existed, and for those who relish the challenge, nothing can top Mount Everest, the tallest mountain on the planet at over 29,000 feet. As Sir Edmund Hillary put it, "It is not the mountain we conquer but ourselves."
Paul Dirac (1902 - 1984) was a brilliant mathematician and a 1933 Nobel laureate whose work ranks alongside that of Albert Einstein and Sir Isaac Newton. Although not as well-known as his famous contemporaries Werner Heisenberg and Richard Feynman, his influence on the course of physics was immense. His landmark book, The Principles of Quantum Mechanics, introduced that new science to the world and his "Dirac equation" was the first theory to reconcile special relativity and quantum mechanics.

I wrote over 100 pages of poems during September 2016, poem after poem, day by day, an amazing, exhausting journey. One of those collections (Harvest Moon) is also available here. The other (Li Po-ems) will be soon. On the morning of September 24, I woke up after a fitful sleep with the first two poems in this series fully composed in my head, waiting there in the dark, thus the title. I have no idea how they got there like that. I just went downstairs and typed them up.

The vicar, whose boat the body was found in, is clearly withholding information, and the victim's niece has disappeared. There is clearly more to this case than meets the eye - even the identity of the victim is called into doubt.
