The newest novel from #1 New York Times best-selling author and "queen of royal fiction" (USA Today) Philippa Gregory tells the passionate story of Elizabeth of York, daughter of the White Queen, who gets caught in the middle of a battle for the crown of England. A princess from birth, Elizabeth fell in love with Richard III, though her mother made an arranged betrothal for her with the pretender to the throne: Henry Tudor. When Henry defeats Richard against all odds, Elizabeth has to marry the man who murdered her lover in battle.

What would have made The White Princess better?

    If the princess knew something

Would you ever listen to anything by Philippa Gregory again?

I have read and listened to her other titles, this has to be here worst.

    Any additional comments?

I didn't like this story, the princess was so useless, couldn't do much, didn't know much, was so frustrating, and yet she was so emotional, over analyzing and judgmental.

For as long as I can remember, I've had a boring, predictable life. I work at a low-paying job and have ho-hum missionary sex with my long-term boyfriend, who calls me "pear shaped" (and not in a good way). I've never been with more than one man or explored myself sexually. That's for sexy, skinny girls. Girls with exciting lives. Girls I'm not. When a series of events send my life into a tailspin, I find myself at a mansion in the Hollywood Hills, locking eyes with a gorgeous, sexy stranger who sends my heart racing. Our first night together is one I'll never forget.

What made the experience of listening to Loving Rose the most enjoyable?

    Story was interesting

What was one of the most memorable moments of Loving Rose?

When Thomas was found on the beach

What does Napoleon Ryan bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Yes for sure. the only trouble is that when the narrator is a man, he ends up messing up the woman's voices and if a woman is narrating then men's voices are messed up but still and all together it was a reasonable job. not that I could do any better I might add.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Not a good enough book for a film, but if I did it would be something like second chances?

What disappointed you about Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake?

It was just a little too unreal, trying to apply today's morality to those days culture, and it didn't work.

What could Sarah MacLean have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Could be more in keeping with time and culture of the time.

Would you be willing to try another one of Carolyn Morris’s performances?

Is there anything you would change about this book?

The narration, it was terrible it sounded as if people constantly wispered and men all talked as if they were being strangled.

Would you be willing to try another book from Julie Garwood? Why or why not?

    yes possibly

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Susan Duerden?

    Devena porter?

Was The Lion's Lady worth the listening time?

    Not enough

    Any additional comments?

The story was not developed well, and I thought it was just too weak, no one made any sense, answered a simple question or asked the right question, and she just sounded dumb, listening to these stories one begins to think the there was a reason why females were considered weaker sex, if they didn't cry, they over reacted, fell apart or were un reasonalbe.
