I would say so, although I haven't read the print version of this book. I love audio books because I can listen while I do things, I don't have to sit still. Also the characters really come to life when the story is read.
The most memorable was when Emily started speaking like an adult. She made the transition from a teenage mind set to an adult. I liked hearing the story from different characters point of views. Especially Emily's, it offered good insight to a typically teenage mind.
I love all of the Jane Green books. I have listened to four other audio books and read a few others. This story line was a bit different than her usual. I love the details, the visual she paints for the reader in her story's. This was more involved in the characters themselves rather than outside details. I enjoyed the story, the drama of the story compensated for the lack of details that are usually provided.
A story mother and daughter will both love.
I love your books Jane, keep writing please.
The story line would entertain a teenager, up to 21 years even. I remember watching the Hill's when I was first in college and it appealed to me. I bought the book because I had numbers 2 and 3 in my library and wanted to read the series again. Now I realize too much time has passed.
I saw the reviews on this book and wanted to read it immediately. I read What Alice Forgot and Loved it. The narration made this book equally enjoyable to the story line (I say with audio it doesn't matter how good the book is, the narrator can ruin it). This book kept me on the edge of my seat, inspired me and warmed my heart. The characters are so vivid and easy to relate to. The story line sparked deep questions and ultimately had a good message.
I don't think they synapses gave this book justice. I wasn't sure when I read it but the reviews were good (I also liked her first book I read, Spring Fever). I really enjoyed it! Cute story line. Also the narrator did a great job!
After reading most of Jane Green's books I have noticed a distinct difference between her older book and her newer ones. I can't put my finger on it to describe it. I suppose her writing has simply matured. I enjoyed this book, the story line was good, the performance good too. If you like her other books you will like this one too.
If you like Jane Green you will like this book. I have read most her book and any have yet to disappoint.
This isn't my favorite of Erin Hildebrand books. My first read of hers was The Island which I adored. Nonetheless this was still a good book. I liked the story line and the characters. I guess there was just a little something missing to it for me.
Giffin does a great job of writing real life events that readers can relate to. This book was a bit different than her others because it was a story based on only two characters lives. Typically her stories involve multiple characters and their life stories intertwined with the main characters but this one was really focused on just the two women.
Cynthia Nixon always does a wonderful job with narration!
Such a good story for women of this age. I think women of all backgrounds can take something from this book. Whether you are a women in question of having a baby, an individual with issues in your relationship, or a woman who doesn't understand other women who don't want children, or if you are just in the mood for a good story to listen to. In the end its a tale of true love conquering all, and ultimately a strong case for compromise. I learned something for my own life, a story quite parallel to this one. The performance was great too, I love the way Cynthia Nixon brought the story to life.
The final book shocked me with the progression of Ana and Christians relationship. I enjoyed the whole series. My recommendations would be to the performer to work on her male voices. To the author, try to expand on the vocabulary.
This book in the series is the most exciting, filled with constant ups and downs. I was listening constantly wanting to know what happened next. For having no experience writing the author did a good job.
