Rock Chicks!!! I have been a fan of the series for freaking EVAH! So having the first book of the series is like every birthday, anniversary, and Christmas all rolled into one!
Kristen Ashley writes with depth and a keen sense of comedic wit.
Of course being a good writer does NOT a good audio book make! Kristen Ashley paired with Susannah Jones does!
One of the things that I love about Ms. Ashley's books is her strong characters, from the main characters to the support or secondary characters. They are distinctive and most definitely colorful! So that means you NEED to have a storyteller who can keep up!
Ms. Jones brings it in a big way! She does an excellent job making each of the characters' voices unique and with plenty of emotion, she makes Rock Chick sing!!!!
Out of all the books and all of the series that Ms. Ashley has written Ty and Lexie's story is my absolute favorite!
This was on par with Kristen Ashley excellence! The book was brilliant and the narrator is just as good, especially since there were a variety of accents to tackle... Which worried me!
Go buy! Listen and fall in love with Nina and Max!
I have been a fan of Lisa Marie Rice for a long time. So I actually read Into the Crossfire some years ago. Like any favorite book of mine I often went back to visit Sam and Nichole, rereading a great story! Then one day I noticed that they were coming out as an audio book! Oh happy day! Then panic... I love this book and these characters what if it's not the same?! What if the narrator sucks?!
No worries people! To tell the truth I wasn't sure which version I like more! The ebook or the audio book!
Ms Rice wrote such a intense and dynamic story coupled with the vocal talents of Mr. Charles Constant that you can't help but to be sucked into the story!
Okay there is SO MUCH that I want to say in this review BUT as always I hate giving anything away about the plot!!!
I am not exactly sure how Ms. Hamilton does it! You read the summary for a book and go okay this sounds interesting but what is packed into a book of hers and what is put on the back are two COMPLETELY different things. There is hurt so deep that you ache. Passion so intense you feel singed by it. It sucks you in until by the end of the book you feel like you've known these people all your life!
Of course no book would be a great book without a fabulous storyteller like Mr. JD Hart! His deep voice... The depth of emotion that he puts into it... He is the voice of these SEALs!
As usual I really hate to give anything because that's what the summary is for!
What can I say about a book that I had wait a whole year for? There are twists... There are turns... There was so much story that it made me sigh with disappointment when it was over. It was everything that I hoped for and more.
The way that Ms. Bishop developed all of her characters especially her secondary characters has always made me care about all of them just as much as Meg and Simon but even more!
My only ONLY complaint is Montgomery's loose end! I hope that there is more about that in the next book!
Alexandra Harris is just an amazing narrator! She gives the characters their own voices and really breathes life into the whole story!
I read this book a few years ago and I really can't decide which is better... The book or the audio.
Ms. Hamilton wrote a gripping story full of memorable characters, swimming with danger, and choking with romance.
Mr. Hart's vocal talents really flushed out the story and brought each of the characters to life!
Would I recommend this book absolutely!
When I first read the summary for this book, it didn't hit any of my hot spots! BOY WAS I WRONG!!!
Reporters and ex-cons... No way! I was surprised at how well the it all blended together! Trust me when I say that I won't be making that mistake again! Ms. Melton wrote a story that was gritty and surprising.
As for Mr. David Brenin, there is a part of me that wonders if he has a multiple personality disorder! There were actually moments in the book that I thought there were different readers! He did such a beautiful job giving each character their own voice.
Again this was an amazing team up of writer and narrator making a good book excellent!
Like always I hate to give away too much about the plot of a book in my reviews but there is something to be said about a book with a nice and easy burn. It was delicious listening to the burn and heat between Captain Dylan Connelly and Special Agent Tobias Burke.
Marliss Melton brought to life a woman damaged by war and trying to find her way back, doing it the best way that she could. Her hero was tough. He was tender. He was perfection.
I have always thought that the sign of a great writer and an okay writer was how the secondary characters are written. Like any great writer Ms. Melton's secondary characters sucked me into their lives and made me care about them.
David Brenin's narration was spot on! Through his voice and the way he gave a voices to all of these amazing characters that not only pulled on my heart strings but actually made me set down my knitting needles and reach for a tissue.
If you are looking for a really good book with lots of actual story then I strongly suggest this one!
My love for New Species started way back in book One Fury and a body would think that by book 10 my love would have waned. That is SO NOT the case!
Ms Dohner is still keeping things fresh and interesting. Granted this book is not like the other books in the series because of the flashbacks but if you are fascinated by all things NSO then it is an interesting look into what happened AFTER they'd been freed from Mercile.
I CAN'T WAIT for book 11 True!!!
