Lucy is the first to find the secret of the wardrobe in the professor's mysterious old house. At first her brothers and sister don't believe her when she tells of her visit to the land of Narnia. But soon Edmund, then Peter and Susan step through the wardrobe themselves. In Narnia they find a country buried under the evil enchantment of the White Witch.

This book is wonderful. The reading by Michael York is quite good. I didn't like some of the acting he did (especially with Lucy) while reading but we can't have it all. The story was, afterall, written by an Englishman. One complaint I have is that the chapters change in the middle of tracks and that there is no convienient way to determine where one stops and another begins. I had to write the CD number down and the track number and then the counter number, for example disk one, track 8, 5 minutes and 25 seconds in - chapter 9 begins. I use my recordings in school and this is extremely inconvienient. The store bought books on CD that I have purchased have been logically organized.
