His mission: Night Wing. The revolutionary test plane with a top-secret weapons system was Colonel Joe "Breed" Mackenzie's #1 priority. And weapons expert Caroline Evans was his #1 distraction. True, the stubborn blonde was giving him the cold shoulder, but Joe hadn't become the best of the best by giving up. Then he discovered someone on the inside was sabotaging Night Wing, and with her late hours and specialized expertise, Caroline seemed the obvious choice.

I read the first book in this series and fell in love with 16 year old Joe and couldn't wait to read more about him. The narration is fabulous and my only complaint is that it didn't go on longer!!! Totally worth the credit.

After turning his back on the throne for centuries, Wrath, son of Wrath, finally assumed his father's mantle - with the help of his beloved mate. But the crown sets heavily on his head. As the war with the Lessening Society rages on, and the threat from the Band of Bastards truly hits home, he is forced to make choices that put everything - and everyone - at risk. Why is everyone raving about this book? Was it even written by J.R. Ward?? I am a HUGE fan of the Black Dagger Brotherhood and Ward, but this one was so immature I could barely get through it. It seemed like Wrath transformed into a mouthy, cussing, insecure and immature teenager. I'm so sad to say this was a total thumbs down. I've listened and read the whole series a dozen times or more, but I'll never listen to this one again. It did not do credit to the series. The only saving grace was the narrator, who was awesome, and made the book bearable.

Mels Carmichael, reporter for the Caldwell Courier Journal, gets the shock of her life when a man stumbles in front of her car outside the local cemetery. After the accident, his amnesia is just the kind of mystery she likes to solve, but she soon discovers they're in over their heads with his past. Over their heads with passion, too.... As shadows walk the line between reality and another realm, and her lover's memory begins to come back, the two of them learn that nothing is truly dead and buried.

I love all of J.R Ward's books, but I couldn't finish this one because of the horrible narration! Narrator read at a fast, clipped pace, and when doing the voice of Mathias he sounded like a robot. So disappointed. I'll definitely have to read this one rather than listen.

What didn’t you like about Coleen Marlo’s performance?

I love Christy Reece and this whole series of Last Chance Rescue novels, but the narration in this one totally ruined it for me. The voice she uses for Skylar James is soooo annoying!!!
