This book was rough. Alex is stuck between Seth and Aiden. She can't have Aiden even though that's who she wants and Seth is there willing (a little too much) and waiting. Then, she has to deal with the demon situation. A lot of pressure while trying to finish Sentinel training.
Aiden is still watching out for Alex, even if its in the background when she isn't looking
As usual, Justine is awesome
Good second book. It sets you up well for book three
The fact that Lex actually thought she was being sent to a farm to work off her bad behavior. When she gets to her uncles and finds out the real deal she can't quite believe it.
Who would have thought that she was a grim reaper? Not only that, it runs in her family? How could she not have known about this? Yeah, she was pretty surprised.
When Lex is at the Tree for the first time. Can you say denial?
She was good about making the characters sound very individual
This a good solid YA that will also appeal to adults. No teen angst. Just a good solid story.
If I could give this a 4 1/2 I would!
This book was really, really good. The last few have been good, don't get me wrong. This one though was outstanding. There were more plot twists and turns and it was slightly darker than usual.
I liked the stories in Europe with the haunted castles, etc. and the Native American story was good. It showed a different side of the medium aspect. But this harkened back to the murder mystery side of the ghost busting. This time with a serial killer.
Also, the crew was back home so you saw characters you haven't heard about in awhile.
They had to work back and forth between the past and the present to figure out what ghost they were dealing with
Eileen Stevens did a good job
No extreme reaction
I am looking forward to the next book. M.J. is heading back home to see her Dad.
Yes! Its free and I don't know if the print version is available.
All the other books in this series
The whole story is good.
Though, it is funny when Gigi is in the tree farm after attacking Ben. Cal and Iris show up a few minutes later. It takes Gigi a minute to figure out that Cal and Iris weren't exactly looking for Christmas trees and that's why it took them a few minutes to show up.
No. It was cute and I hope a taste of a story yet to come? Kind of like a Ghost of Story Future????
If you like the rest of the Hollow books, you'll like this one.
Trust issues prevail.
The great "collision" causes magic to spill over into the "normal" world. Now there are areas where magical creatures and people reside and places where plain humans reside. These areas are to stay separate. That's the rule. Until one day when an English teacher is attacked by zombies for seemingly no reason and is saved by a magical creature.
Terak, leader of the Gargoyles
I didn't have a specific favorite
I think the title of the book would be fine
I wasn't sure about having gargoyles as a romantic hero, but it works well. Can't wait for the next book.
In the top 10. This is one of my all time favorite series. I am sad to see it end. But, I am happy with how it did end. I will definitely listen to this series over and over again in the future.
There are way too many moments to name just one, but here are a few.
Ivy has moved on. She isn't stuck on an unhealthy reliance on Rachel any more. She has found something good with Nina. Nina needs her and that makes Ivy stronger. She seems to need that.
I am heart broken for Al. You know that he loves Rachel and she has hurt him. Even though Al is a demon, he's has pulled Rachel out of the fire quite a few times. Does that mean she should love him back? No, but was there a way for her to end things with him better? I don't know. I just feel for him.
I am happy that Trent and Rachel are finally together. There has been plenty of dancing around each other. They are settled into something they can both grow into and make their own. Finally! (I think I would have lost my mind had Ms. Harrison not put them together in the end)
Margeurite Gavin is perfect! She is the characters in this book. I can't imagine anyone else's voices narrating these characters.
The whole book was an extreme reaction. I hate it when series that are my favorites come to an end. (By Feb I have already lost 2 of my favorites.)
But this was a sweet end to a wonderful story. I will definitely listen to all the books again and again.
If you have read the other books, you need to read the way the story ends. You won't be disappointed.
I would if they are already a Mercy Thompson series reader. Its late in the series to pick this one up and start reading.
It was a good advancement of the story. I always had a feeling Christy was going to try something like this. She's a rotten brat.
I liked the book as a whole
Night Broken works fine
A good addition to the series. Waiting for the next one.
I haven't read the print version.
What didn't I like? This story is quite good. Sending a poker playing Fury to sin city in an attempt to find her missing sister, what's not to like? Throw in a newly deceased FBI agent as a "liaison" to keep Tisi from making to much of a mess and you have a great premise for a story.
When the dog wouldn't let agent in the room. (You'll know when you read it) ;-)
Actually, yes. I had a few laughs here and there. I really like Barbra Annino's writing style, so I got into the book and lost track of time.
I can't wait for the next book
This character kicks butt and takes names. She has a fantastic way about her and she doesn't take trash from anyone. On the worst day of her life, she is turned into a vampire which just makes life worse. What does she do? She takes lemons and turns it into a lemonade enterprise.
The combination of the paranormal characters and how they interact
No I haven't, but this one was very good.
Blood Wager would be perfect
They need to get the rest of these books on audio. I read the synopsis of these books on Amazon and I want to listen to them. I am being lazy, but I might have to buy them and read them if they don't show up here soon. Its just hard to hold a book and do other things at the same time
Yes. This story is cute and I will listen to the other Enchanted books again in the future.
Take the typical "Red Shoes" story, add the usual cast of characters and you get a typical day at MSI, Inc
The first Enchanted book.
Some of her male characters are hard to differentiate
I always get some good laughs from these books.
Another good book in the series
If you like Molly Harper, you will most likely enjoy this book quite a bit. Its quite funny. Take a good old gal from Texas, move her to Manhattan with some college friends and have her start seeing fairies, gnomes and magic spells. Then on top of that, she can't tell anyone. At least, not until she gets offered a new job.
A lot of the Molly Harper books have a similar comedy style. So, if you like that sort of writing, you will most likely enjoy this series.
Sometimes its hard to tell between some of her male characters, but otherwise she does well.
No, but the frog seen in the park about killed me.
Give it a try. If nothing else, you'll get a good laugh.
