i love amanda quick - old amanda quick and this is still a solid listen but i think its the same narrator that did a bunch of her books and she just feels too old. i wish she had a sassier younger reader. the story is so solid though - that you get over any problems with the narrator.
I've started just doing audio books only for this series - Lorelei King is that good. Can't wait to see what happens next. completely credit worthy!
i had high hopes but this story went from mysterious to ridiculous - buy on sale, but don't waste a full credit.
big fan of this book - super heavy pendergast action, get to meet corrie swanson and i didn't see the ending coming.
there is good YA and there is bad YA. this is pretty bad. the prose was overblown, the central idea that love is outlawed by the government and why it was so needed never made sense and the plot just prodded along so slowly. i found the heroine super annoying and kept wanting hanna to be the lead. narrator was fine, didn't add anything to help the story but didn't make anything worse. so not worth the credit.
I think this is a trilogy but i really loved this book. Books 2 and 3 are in my wish list. Fully wort the credit.
Even with Roberts amazing narration this book left me cold. I didn't care about either of the leads and that's never happened for me so far in this series. I really hope the next book out isn't a disappointment. not worth the credit.
This is a case where the narrator makes the story even better than the stand alone book. I love how Khristine makes the world of Jane Yellowrock comes alive. Lots of yummy leo.
narrator was good but this isn't worth a full price credit. if you want it, wait for it to go on sale.
i remember enjoying the book years ago and got the audio version on sale. I cannot finish it. Too repetitive and slow moving.
super YA and overblown/overdone but i loved it anyhow. I think the narrator helps a TON and keeps the story moving along.
