Herman Wouk's sweeping epic of World War II, which begins with The Winds of War and continues here in War and Remembrance, stands as the crowning achievement of one of America's most celebrated storytellers. Like no other books about the war, Wouk's spellbinding narrative captures the tide of global events - and all the drama, romance, heroism, and tragedy of World War II - as it immerses us in the lives of a single American family drawn into the very center of the war's maelstrom.

Would you consider the audio edition of War and Remembrance to be better than the print version?

I loved both print and audio versions.

What was one of the most memorable moments of War and Remembrance?

Submarine fights near Japan; Poland invasion; FDR.

What does Kevin Pariseau bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He never missed a beat; his character voices added depth and interest.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Way too long for one sitting so I carried it everywhere on my iPod.

Few books have had such an impact as Wild Swans: a popular best seller which has sold more than 13 million copies and a critically acclaimed history of China; a tragic tale of nightmarish cruelty and an uplifting story of bravery and survival.

What did you like best about Wild Swans? What did you like least?

Good story, good reader but writing did not keep my attention. Listened to the book on the way to China, on plane, and while there; even with that connection, lost interest because of writing style.
