Nora Roberts as usual does a fantastic Job of writing the most sexy and thrilling story to help us forget all about our own reality. Yes it is sexy and visual love it or leave it! I might add that I am not a fan of romance, but this one sucked me in.

This story starts out with a bang, and never slows down until the very end. It isn't one of Stephen Kings scary creepy novels. I liked it because it is about good and evil.

A breakaway best seller since its first printing, All Souls takes us deep into Michael Patrick MacDonald's Southie, the proudly insular neighborhood with the highest concentration of white poverty in America. Rocked by Whitey Bulger's crime schemes and busing riots, MacDonald's Southie is populated by sharply hewn characters like his Ma, a mini-skirted, accordion-playing single mother who endures the deaths of four of her eleven children.

    Story

I loved this story! A time in America where racial strife and prejudice were a daily problem. I personally remember watching the race riots from my porch as a little girl. The family in this book is tragic, and most of the people in it are, but there are many sweet endearing moments. I know it will bring back memories for everyone. If you love Irish people and their stories you will love this!

Dave Robicheaux felt the bone-grinding pain rip through his body as the .45 did its damage. Through the agonizing haze that enveloped him, he heard an almost inhuman laugh - the hideous, victorious cackling of Jimmie Lee Boggs - a sound he would never forget. It had started out as an ordinary prisoner transfer, then turned into a blood bath when the convicted murderer got hold of a gun.

As usual James Burke delivers a fantastic story woven throughout Louisiana. There is mystery drugs cops and plenty of picturesque bayou storyline.

Balram Halwai is a complicated man. Servant. Philosopher. Entrepreneur. Murderer. Balram tells us the terrible and transfixing story of how he came to be a success in life - having nothing but his own wits to help him along. Through Balram's eyes, we see India as we've never seen it before: the cockroaches and the call centers, the prostitutes and the worshippers, the water buffalo and, trapped in so many kinds of cages that escape is (almost) impossible, the white tiger.

With a charisma as undeniable as it is unexpected, Balram teaches us that religion doesn't create morality and money doesn't solve every problem.

Oh my gosh! do you want to know something about the people and country of India? this is the book for you. I loved the main character, and I loved how he dealt with all of his problems and situations. I particularly enjoyed the ending. If you are a follower, and read my reviews I like to tell about the endings. If I don't like the ending I will give a story many less stars, because I find that after spending many hours listening to a story, it can all be ruined by the ending. With this one you will not be disappointed!

Valentino's travels, truly Biblical in scope, bring him in contact with government soldiers, janjaweed-like militias, liberation rebels, hyenas and lions, disease and starvation, and a string of unexpected romances. Ultimately, Valentino finds safety in Kenya and, just after the millennium, is finally resettled in the United States, from where this novel is narrated.
