If you could sum up Immortals: The Calling in three words, what would they be?

    Sizzling and Captivating!

What other book might you compare Immortals: The Calling to and why?

I would compare this series to the Dream Guardians by Sylvia Day. Both have hunky immortal guardians and a great story line to boot!

Which character – as performed by Rebecca Cook – was your favorite?

Unsure, she did a great job with the characters.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Sexy, thrilling, action and adventure series!

    none

I would compare it to The Mackenzies series.

I like the way she gave voice to the characters.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

    P. J. and Cole were sharpshooting rivals on the same KGI team and enjoyed a spirited, uncomplicated camaraderie. Until the night they gave in to their desires and suddenly took their relationship one step further. In the aftermath of their one-night stand, they’re called out on a mission that goes terribly wrong, and P. J. walks away from KGI, resolved not to drag her teammates into the murky shadows she’s poised to delve into. Six months later, Cole hasn’t given up his search for P. J., and he’s determined to bring her back home where she belongs.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Yes and no. I always enjoy books by this author, but I will have to read them from now on.

What did you like best about this story?

The twists and turns in the relationship of two people who must find a way to both work and love together.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

I am sure he would have been ok if he had started the series from the beginning. However, I just cannot get used to hearing Steel's voice in such a high pitch. It was like nails on a chalkboard!

Do you think Shades of Gray needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

No. Like all the KGI novels, I will enjoy updates in the books that follow.

    Any additional comments?

These books are stand alone, but I would advise that next time there needs to be a change in narration for whatever reason, try to keep with the same type of voice at least. The southern accent does not make up for the change in pitch.

Centuries ago Acheron saved the human race by imprisoning an ancient evil bent on absolute destruction. Now that evil has been unleashed and it is out for revenge. As the twin to Acheron, Styxx hasn’t always been on his brother's side. They've spent more centuries going at each other's throats than protecting their backs. Now Styxx has a chance to prove his loyalty to his brother, but only if he's willing to trade his life and future for Acheron's.

Would you listen to Styxx again? Why?

I would and I will! This story has so many twists and turns that it was like riding a rollercoaster! My emotions were all over the place, and I loved every minute of it!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Styxx?

When Acheron was reading Ryssa's diary with Soteria.

What does Fred Berman bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Where do I begin. He brought it to life! His characterizations and voices were so flawless that I forgot he was only one person narrating. He is just that good! Also, I had the ebook companion and I definitely found I enjoyed the narration better.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

There were many! However, I cried hard when Styxx described lying alone in his room, feeling isolated from his brother, sister and nephew who were in the next room laughing. Wow! What a powerful image of a lost and neglected child!

    Any additional comments?

Ms Kenyon did the impossible with this book. She actually had me disliking Acheron! That is huge! He has been the hero since the beginning, and now I see that like all hero's he has flaws that hurt not just himself, but his own brother. Wow! The other thing I admire about Ms Kenyon is that she could keep this book and all her books so consistent while continuing to unravel an ever evolving plot is nothing short of amazing to me! I can't wait for the next installment!

Would you consider the audio edition of Night Embrace to be better than the print version?

Yes. I love books, but hearing the story just helps to bring the characters to life in a way that reading alone does not always do. This narrator is excellent at drawing me in.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Night Embrace?

The upstairs room when all H*** breaks loose! What action! Love it!

What about Carrington MacDuffie’s performance did you like?

I like that the performance is seamless. He slid from male to female and from accent to accent without a hitch and without breaking my concentration on the story.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

All the moments between Talon and his sister, especially the last one.

    Any additional comments?

I love this series, and I have found myself owning both the books and the audiobooks. That takes a lot for me, so way to go Sherrilyn. I may be broke, but keep em coming!

Where does Wicked Deeds on a Winter's Night rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Of all the books I have listened to, this series ranks high on my list. The characters have depth, and the passion is definitely sizzling!

Who was your favorite character and why?

My favorite character in this book is Bowen. He has intrigued me since we met him in the first book.

    Which scene was your favorite?

My favorite scene is the one in the cave in the jungle when Bowen convinces Mari to come to the cave alone with him. Even though it was basically blackmail, you could have cut the sexual tension with a knife!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Nothing! I love the voices, and way they distinguish who is talking. I followed it seemlessly!

    Any additional comments?

I must admit I have become a little spoiled in listening to this series. I tried to read one of them, and found I kept hearing the voice of the narrator in my head anyway! Keep em coming!
